Fresh from their Champions League exit, Barcelona travel to face Osasuna as they look to improve their position in La Liga.

The new reality hit home for Xavi as Barca plunged into the Europa League after a 3-0 defeat at Bayern Munich in midweek, prompting the boss to state that a new era was about to begin.

Meanwhile, they trail La Liga leaders Real Madrid by 16 points heading into this weekend, with their most recent domestic disappointment coming at the hands of Real Betis in a 1-0 home loss last time out.

Here's how Barca could line up.

Barcelona predicted lineup vs Osasuna - La Liga

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (GK) - Didn't cover himself in glory for Leroy Sane's strike in midweek... or at all this season.

Ronald Araujo (RB) - Limited faith in Sergino Dest has seen Araujo shunted out to right-back recently.

Eric Garcia (CB) - Life at Barcelona has proven difficult for the 20-year-old and Xavi will hope he grows into a commanding presence.

Gerard Pique (CB) - The leader at the heart of the Barcelona defence and a model professional.

Oscar Mingueza (LB) - With Alba out injured, it'll be either Mingueza or young Alex Balde who gets the nod out on the left.

2. Midfielders

Sergio Busquets (DM) - Even in his advanced years he remains integral to Barcelona's hopes

Frenkie de Jong (CM) - The Dutchman has been nowhere near good enough this year, but with so few options in midfield, expect Xavi to stick with him.

Nico Gonzalez (CM) - A regular starter in La Liga, Nico has clearly won Xavi over already.

3. Forwards

Ousmane Dembele (RW) - Medical staff will need to decide whether Dembele can handle another start so soon after the Bayern game, but he should be fine.

Yusuf Demir (ST) - Could be forced to fill in as a centre forward in the absence of Memphis Depay.

Gavi (LW) - Likely to return to this more-advanced role and could keep it until Ansu Fati returns.
