Barcelona can continue their blistering form with a trip to Elche in La Liga on Sunday afternoon.

The Catalan giants have scored four goals in each of their last three matches, a feat they haven't matched since May 2017, when 11 of the 12 goals in that glut were netted by members of Barcelona's feared - and now departed - attacking triumvirate; Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.

Here's the XI Xavi may deploy to extend their scoring streak.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (GK) - The increasingly unconvincing German did manage to keep his first clean sheet at Camp Nou since November last weekend.

Dani Alves (RB) - The last time Barcelona's veteran Brazilian faced Elche, Xavi was still playing for the club.

Ronald Araujo (CB) - The interest from English clubs has complicated Araujo's ongoing contract extension negotiations.

Gerard Pique (CB) - A Europa League goal against Napoli saw Pique score at least once under an eighth different Barcelona manager.

Jordi Alba (LB) - Prior to last weekend's suspension, Alba had directly contributed to four goals in his previous five appearances for the club.

2. Midfielders

Gavi (CM) - The only blemish amid Gavi's boundless promise is a fiery propensity for yellow cards - only Pique can eclipse his tally of seven cautions this term.

Sergio Busquets (CM) - Xavi's bridge between the technical area and the turf, Barcelona's games are perennially peppered with shouts for 'Busi' to tweak things here and there.

Pedri (CM) - Given the lofty standing Xavi holds his former colleague in, there can be few greater compliments for the 19-year-old to receive than: "Pedri reminds me of Andres Iniesta."

3. Forwards

Ousmane Dembele (RW) - The controversial winger's introduction against Athletic Club began with boos but ended with Dembele directly involved in three goals - the first Barcelona substitute to do so this century (per Opta).

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (ST) - In two starts for Barcelona, Aubameyang has already matched the goal tally he racked up in 1,037 Premier League minutes for Arsenal this season (four).

Ferran Torres (LW) - Barcelona's expensive winter arrival is yet to find the net from five La Liga starts.
