Arsenal have little time to lick their wounds following Monday night's heartbreakingly late Champions League elimination at the hands of Wolfsburg, going down in extra-time when they were potentially within reach of a first European final since the 2007 quadruple.

The Gunners were beaten by Manchester United in their most recent WSL outing and face an uphill battle to finish in the top three and qualify for next season's Champions League. They trail third place Chelsea by three points, with no games in hand, and second place Manchester City by six points, with two games in hand. Arsenal also still have Chelsea to play, so need every point they can get.

Leicester are still fighting for their WSL status at the other end of the table but are on course to pull off a miracle escape from the relegation zone for the second season in a row after putting together back-to-back wins to climb as high as 10th.

Arsenal team news

Laura Wienroither is the fourth Arsenal player this season to suffer an ACL injury, doing so in the Wolfsburg second leg. She joins Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Vivianne Miedema. Kim Little is also out with a hamstring problem and won't play again this season.

Stina Blackstenius has shaken off a knock, but Caitlin Foord isn't ready to return. Meanwhile,
veteran striker Jodie Taylor and young talent Gio Queiroz should both return to the squad after being ineligible for the Champions League semi-final.

Leicester team news

The Foxes have no new injury concerns ahead of this one and will be boosted by the return of the versatile Sam Tierney from a one-game suspension she served at the end of last month.

Long-term absentees Abbie McManus, Shannon O'Brien and Lachante Paul are also upping their workload on the training pitch.

Arsenal vs Leicester score prediction

This game remains a mismatch, even with Arsenal's injury crisis. But the Gunners can take nothing for granted here as Leicester's last WSL outing was a 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool - the same Liverpool who subsequently were just minutes away from taking points off Chelsea earlier this week.

Arsenal won 4-0 in the reverse fixture in very different circumstances back in early November and will find it much tougher against a Leicester team carrying positive momentum.

Prediction: Arsenal 2-1 Leicester
