Expect Mikel Arteta to rotate and make changes from the Arsenal side that beat Villa in the Premier League on Friday night. That could mean starts for the likes of Nicolas Pepe, Martin Odegaard, Bernd Leno, Rob Holding and Mohamed Elneny.

Kieran Tierney has an ankle knock, while Granit Xhaka remains a long term absentee.

Raphinha has joined the list of Leeds injuries which already features Patrick Bamford, Robin Koch and Luke Ayling. The Brazilian's loss after a late tackle against Wolves is a significant blow.

Junior Firpo probably isn't ready to return just yet, although Kalvin Phillips might have a chance after more training since remaining an unused substitute at the weekend.

Joe Gelhardt could get a first start after impressing off the bench last time out.

Arsenal vs Leeds predicted lineups

Arsenal: Leno; Soares, Holding, White, Tavares; Elneny, Lokonga, Odegaard; Pepe, Aubameyang, Martinelli.

Leeds: Meslier; Shackleton, Struijk, Llorente, Dallas; Klich, Phillips; James, Rodrigo, Harrison; Gelhardt.

Arsenal vs Leeds head to head record

Leeds haven't beaten Arsenal since a 3-2 win at Highbury in May 2003, featuring goals from Harry Kewell, Ian Harte and Mark Viduka, handed Manchester United the Premier League title.

Arsenal won 4-2 in the Premier League meeting at the Emirates in February of last season, while it was 0-0 at Elland Road in November.

While those have been the only league meetings between the clubs in more than 17 years, they have faced each other a handful of times in the FA Cup. Leeds drew 1-1 at the Emirates in 2011, forcing a replay which Arsenal won 3-1 at Elland Road, while the Gunners recorded 1-0 victories in north London in January of both 2012 and 2020.

They haven't met in this competition since September 1979 when Arsenal won 7-0.

Arsenal vs Leeds score prediction

Even with expected rotation, Arsenal go into this tie as favourites. They have stronger depth than a Leeds squad carrying several injuries, as well as home advantage at the Emirates Stadium.

There is a very real opportunity for Arsenal to win some silverware in this competition, while Leeds have priorities elsewhere after a tough start to their second season back in the top flight.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Leeds
