Arsenal have made a positive start to the new Premier League season by picking up a couple of wins, although last time out against Crystal Palace was not exactly a simple affair.

Thankfully for Mikel Arteta, he is coming up against a Fulham team that has suffered a pretty rough summer and put in a poor display last weekend against Brentford, losing 3-0. They did not play well on the opening day against Everton but still managed to win 1-0.

Aleksandar Mitrovic has left the club for Al Hilal in a deal that brings some welcome money in, but means that Fulham really lack much in the way of firepower right now. At the Emirates Stadium, this is a game that Arsenal fans will be looking forward to.

Mikel Arteta is not going to have a full squad at his disposal for a very long time and there are plenty of important players that will be missing for the visit of Fulham, although Gabriel Jesus is training.

Takehiro Tomiyasu had replaced the injured Jurrien Timber but is now suspended, whilst Folarin Balogun, and Albert Sambi Lokonga are all going to miss out with injuries. Oleksandr Zinchenko is back, though, and is expected to play on the left.

Fulham have got something of a crisis in defence themselves before this match against Arsenal as Tim Ream is suspended. That means that Calvin Bassey is likely to come in alongside Issa Diop.

There are no other major concerns for Marco Silva though as he got Joao Palhinha back last weekend and Adama Traore is eligible to make his full debut. Familiar faces Bernd Leno and William will be trying to hurt their former team at the Emirates.

Arsenal vs Fulham score prediction

Even though Arsenal may have a lot of injuries to worry about right now, they still have such a strong squad that they are not expected to have any real trouble here against Fulham.

Marco Silva's side look, at least early on, like they are in for a pretty tough season that will not be as fun as last year. They can expect to be on the end of a defeat here but there is still time left in the window to bolster the squad if it's needed.

Prediction: Arsenal 3-0 Fulham
