Arsenal remain in the hunt for their first Premier League title in 19 years, but they'll have to battle through a tough end to the season and hope Manchester City slip-up for their dream to manifest into reality.

It's been a sensational season for the Gunners off the back of a disappointing 2021/22 which ended in heartbreak at the last. While optimism was rife following an excellent summer transfer window and a productive pre-season, nobody expected them to give City this much of a challenge.

The Mikel Arteta project, as Edu Gaspar projected, has finally taken off, and the sky seems to be the limit for this youthful Gunners squad. Nevertheless, a strong end to the season is required to retain the good feeling around the club and ensure they duel with City up until Matchday 38.

Here are their remaining five fixtures of the 2022/23 Premier League season after losing to City at the Etihad.

Arsenal were originally scheduled to face Chelsea on Saturday, but concerns over policing meant the London derby was rearranged for next Tuesday night.

The Gunners have dominated pretty much all of their city rivals this season, while Frank Lampard's middling Blues would love nothing more than to further cripple the hosts' title bid.

Newcastle vs Arsenal - Premier League

Newcastle away may well be the toughest fixture in the calendar right now - excluding a trip to the Etihad, of course.

It's a party atmosphere at St James' Park, and their recent demolition of Tottenham depicted just how dangerous the Magpies can be with the raucous Toon Army in a fervent mood.

Arsenal succumbed at Newcastle around a similar point in the season last time out, and they'll be looking to avoid such a collapse on May 7.

Arsenal vs Brighton - Premier League

Brighton are one of those weird sides that play better away from home than they do at the Amex. Their home record is the 11th-best in the Premier League this season, while their away record is fourth-best.

Only Arsenal, Man City, and Newcastle have accumulated more points on their travels this season than the Seagulls.

Thus, another tricky game beckons for Arteta's men.

The signs are ominous for Steve Cooper's Forest. Many suspected that their home form would keep them out of trouble, but Forest have only won once at the City Ground since February 5.

They're currently one of the most out of form sides in the Premier League, despite beating Brighton last time out, and their situation could be desperate by the time Arsenal visit on the penultimate matchday of the campaign.

Arsenal vs Wolves - Premier League

Could this be a magical day for Gooners? Tickets have been re-sold for extortionate prices in hope that this will be the day Martin Odegaard lifts the Premier League trophy.

Unfortunately, though, that currently looks unlikely.
