Amad Diallo included in Man Utd squad for West Ham clash

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named January arrival Amad Diallo in his squad to face West Ham United on Tuesday.

After arriving from Atalanta in January in a deal worth up to £37m, Amad has been training with the first team but playing his football with the Under-23s, racking up three goals and three assists in just two games.

Fans have been desperate to see the 18-year-old in action for the seniors, and according to Manchester Evening News, they might be about to get their wish as Amad has been included in the squad for Tuesday's FA Cup tie.

Photographers spotted Amad with the rest of Solskjaer's senior squad at the Lowry Hotel ahead of the game, suggesting that he could be in line to feature in some capacity.

It's expected that Amad will start the game on the bench, but if all goes to plan, Solskjaer may well look to give him some minutes before the final whistle is blown.

Solskjaer is expected to have the majority of his United squad available for selection for the game. Paul Pogba remains sidelined with a thigh injury, while centre-backs Eric Bailly and Phil Jones are also out injured.

"We don't really think about it as FA Cup or league – we just have to take one game at a time and freshen the team up a little bit, and then [we're] ready to go," the boss told the club's official website ahead of the game.

"We're delighted that we get home games. [It's] less travelling. We've done well to beat Watford and Liverpool in the previous two rounds, and of course we want to take another step forward.

"[West Ham] have been impressive. Of course we watch them closely with Jesse [Lingard] going there, and we were really happy for him to get the start that he did. But we felt it when we played them down in London a few months back, that it's a team that really improving under David's coaching and you can see an organised team, a physical team. So we know what we're up against."
