All the Best Stats from France Women's 12-0 Trouncing of Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan Women had a right old time of it on Tuesday evening as they suffered a 12-0 defeat to France. Nope, that's not a typo.
The match was the final game in the pair's Euro 2022 qualifying campaign, with France reaching the finals as group winners after recording seven wins from eight, and Kazakhstan finishing rock bottom following eight straight defeats.
France raced into a a 7-0 half-time lead, but Kazakhstan had a word at half time, parked the bus and concede just five goals in the second period.
Let's take a look at all the best stats from a ruthless France performance.
1. Possession Dominance
Did France sit back, absorb heavy spells of Kazakhstan pressure and then hit them on the counter attack 12 times?
Not quite.
France dominated possession, seeing a staggering 80% of the ball.
It's what you do with it that counts, and France certainly made it count.
2. Outrageous Shot Statistics
Can you score 12 goals and still be accused of being a little bit wasteful?
France had 63 shots, averaging one every 84 seconds.
Twenty-two of their shots were on target, with Kazakhstan goalkeeper Irina Sandalova pulling off ten saves.
Kazakhstan mustered one shot, which failed to find the target.
3. 10 Different Scorers
Despite scoring 12 goals, there was not a hat-trick in sight from France.
Paris Saint-Germain forwards Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Kadidiatou Diani both netted a brace, and eight other players chipped in with a goal each: Montpellier's Elisa de Almeida, West Ham's Kenza Dali, Bordeaux's Eve Perisset and Estelle Cascarino, Atletico Madrid's Emelyne Laurent, PSG's Perle Morroni and Sandy Baltimore and Nantes' Clara Mateo.

Five players also netted their maiden senior goals for their country during the rout; Perisset, Cascarino, Laurent, Morroni and Baltimore.
We reckon they'll probably score more important goals during their careers.
5. Two Away From Matching a National Record
Despite scoring a full 12 goals, the win is not the biggest win recorded by the French national team. It was only marginally their biggest win of the last 40 days.
France beat North Macedonia 11-0 in October 2020, massively taking their foot off the gas and having just the 46 shots and 79% possession that day.
The biggest win in the French national team's history came in May 1998, when they beat Algeria 14-0. France equalled this in November 2013 with a 14-0 victory over Bulgaria.
Tuesday's victory does eclipse any margin of victory registered by the men's French national team, with their record victory a 10-0 win over Azerbaijan in 1995.
It wasn't a record defeat for Kazakhstan either - they lost 17-0 to Germany in 2011.
