Its been an eventful, intriguing campaign in the Bundesliga this season, with this summer's fixtures garnering extra attention from around the world thanks to Germany's speedy resumption of football.
Bayern Munich were crowned champions for the eighth consecutive season, continuing their relentless reign of domestic terror. Dusseldorf and Paderborn were relegated into the second tier, while Werder Bremen edged to safety in the dreaded relegation playoff scrap with Heidenheim on Monday night.
Messrs Sancho, Werner, Havertz and Lewandowski made headlines and gossip columns around the world, while plenty of new names have been added to the the football hipster glossary of Players to Casually Throw Into Conversation Down the Pub.
Now it's all over until the autumn, just who were the best of the BuLi best in Germany in 2019/20?

Yann Sommer (GK)
What Sommer lacks in height, he makes up for in insane shot-stopping ability. At just 6ft tall, the Swiss star is actually the smallest goalkeeper in the league.
Sommer displays an at times superhuman ability to pounce the width of the goal, pulling off highlight reel saves on a regular basis. The 31-year-old has made the most saves (118) and has the best save ratio in the Bundesliga this season, which says it all really.
His efforts have helped Borussia Monchengladbach to an impressive fourth under Marco Rose, earning Champions League qualification for the first time in four years.
Achraf Hakimi (RB)
Hakimi's contribution for Dortmund this season outlays the evolution of the full back. Comparisons have been made to Liverpool's Trent Alexander-Arnold due to the Morocco international's double-figure assist tally - one of only five players to do so in the Bundesliga.
Hakimi was given the freedom to roam the right flank at Dortmund due to their three pronged defence offering cover. The former Real Madrid man did so to devastating effect, regularly joining in on attacking ventures, utilising his blistering pace to burst down the touchline.
The big shame is that the 21-year-old will be at Inter next season and not Dortmund.
Martin Hinteregger (CB)
An impressive campaign last season led to a host of clubs cherry picking the roster at Frankfurt. As the club entered a rebuilding phase, a mixed bag of results saw Die Adler dropped down the table.
The defensive performances of Martin Hinteregger were crucial in helping the side steady ship. His efforts helped Frankfurt recover from their shaky start to finish ninth.
After losing star forwards Luka Jovic, Sebastien Haller and Ante Rebic - the club was in search of a new source of goals. Up stepped centre back Hinteregger who managed eight across the Bundesliga season, making him the highest scoring defender in the league.
Dayot Upamecano (CB)
It's been a defining season for Upamecano. His stellar performances at the heart of Leipzig's defence has propelled them to their second consecutive top-three finish.
The 21-year-old has shown the evolution of his game this season under Julian Nagelsmann, adding grit and dynamism to the Leipzig backline. Upamecano uses his pace ad athleticism to burst into midfield and launch attacks completing 89% of his passes this season.
His performances this term have supposedly led to a host of Europe's elite clubs readying bids but Leipzig remain bullish about his future.
Alphonso Davies (LB)
Signed in 2018 after an impressive spell in Major League Soccer with the Vancouver Whitecaps, Davies has quickly blossomed into a fully fledged first team star for Die Rotten.
The humble teenager was transitioned to left back, a position he had not played in previously, though has flourished in the role.
Davies possesses immense pace, a trait he has utilised to deadly effect this term. In a match against Bremen earlier in the season, he hit a top speed of 22.7 mph, a new Bundesliga record.
Davies has been dubbed the 'FC Bayern Roadrunner', a label given to him by Thomas Muller.
Joshua Kimmich (CM)
Kimmich, the man named as the successor to Philipp Lahm, but who later revealed he is influenced by Bastian Schweinsteiger. It's no wonder they moved him into midfield.
Originally starting out in defence, Kimmich was later moved into midfield where his talents were more thoroughly utilised. The 25-year-old became a vital piece to Bayern's puzzle, particularly this season under Hansi Flick, contributing to both defensive and attacking phases.
Kimmich's versatility at such a high level is a trait only few players can boast. His performances this season have been outstanding as Bayern continue their seemingly never-ending era of dominance.
Kai Havertz (CM)
Deployed normally in a more attacking role this season, Havertz is another versatile player who can perform in a number of roles in midfield and attack.
Leverkusen trusted in Havertz early on when they made him their youngest ever Bundesliga player and it's safe to say their faith has been fully repaid. Still only 21, the Germany international has come on leaps and bounds, becoming a star player for Die Werkself.
With 12 goals and six assists in 30 games, Havertz has had yet another outstanding season for Leverkusen, who also reached the DFB Pokal final.
Jadon Sancho (RW)
England's most promising talent and one of Europe's standout performers.
With 17 goals and 17 assists in 32 Bundesliga appearances, Sancho has become one of only five players in Europe's top five leagues to reach 15 goals and assists in a single season. Only Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Luis Suarez and Eden Hazard have achieved such a remarkable feat.
Still only 20 years of age, the sky truly is the limit for Sancho.
Thomas Muller (CAM)
Having been frozen out at the start of the season under Niko Kovac, Muller was injected back into first team by new coach Flick.
Since his return to regular first team action, the Bayern academy graduate has been in inspired form. With 21 assists this term, Muller smashed the Bundesliga record, a record previously held by Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne.
The 30-year-old has shown tremendous adaptability, settling into his central attacking role and becoming Bayern's most prolific provider of goals.
Timo Werner (LW)
With his move to Chelsea done and dusted, Werner saved his most clinical season until last for Leipzig. An imposing forward who possesses deadly pace and precision finishing ability, Werner netted 28 goals in 34 league appearances, his highest tally yet for Die Roten Bullen.
The only player to push Robert Lewandowski for the most goals this term, Werner became one of Europe's top marksmen. The 24-year-old was deployed on the wing as well as up top for Julian Nagelsmann. In either role, Werner scored goals.
Robert Lewandowski (ST)
Yet another star studded season for the world's best striker and a genuine contender for this year's Ballon d'Or.
The 34 goals scored in 31 games was his highest yet in the Bundesliga. With five consecutive top goalscorer awards, Lewa has become one of the greatest strikers to have graced the game.
At the ripe old age of 31, he still has his foot firmly on the gas pedal. Just six goals off Gerd Muller's record of 40 in a single season, don't be surprised to see Lewa breaks it next season.
