Social Media Roundup: How Bayern Munich Players Are Doing Following Football Postponement

As the pause button was pressed on world football, there were a lot of strange things to be seen. Whether it was fights over toilet roll or supermarket shelves left bare, the panic following the coronavirus outbreak is clear to see.
However, even in this time of crisis, one constant remains. Bayern Munich are top of the Bundesliga, where they are are set to stay for the foreseeable future.
After the Bundesliga suspended play, Bayern's players have taken to social media to, on the whole, promote healthy and safe behaviour from their sizeable following.
Leon Goretzka has taken a slightly different approach to his teammates and is taking this time away from the football pitch to 'make the best of it' by catching up on some light reading, or at least getting someone to take a photo of him sitting in front of an open book.

Having said that, Goretzka has gone for quite a dense piece of writing in the form of Thinking, Fast and Slow by Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman about the cognitive biases humans encounter everyday.
Contrastingly, Thomas Müller has taken this opportunity to call for calm heads in a serious response to a serious situation from a player so often lauded as the team's comedian.
Crazy times! Please stay cautious and healthy, everybody. Thank you to all who are helping to contain this pandemic as well as possible and taking care of those in need. All the best and we will get through this together! #stayhealthy #thankyou #COVIDー19 #esmuellert

David Alaba has followed suit and while he hasn't explicitly produced a statement of his own, he is one of several Bayern players to reiterate the message put out by the club for everyone to 'Stay Healthy'.

As the second-oldest member of the squad at the age of 31, Jérôme Boateng has taken onboard this role seniority to call for calm and safety.
The former Manchester City defender has also retweeted advice about how to prevent contracting COVID-19 from the World Health Organisation's official account.
We all love our game but in the end there are far more important things in life than football.

It's the right decision to stop for now and do everything possible to stop the spread of the virus.
Everybody, stay home, stay safe, stay healthy! pic.twitter.com/jvQZYuXXzM
Everybody let us try to stay calm, help the people affected and try to prevent more cases as far as possible. Start with yourselves and wash your hands. https://t.co/1rIsOshGzr

Thiago Alcántarahas taken a more blunt approach to the situation, in contrast to his silky style on the pitch, by succinctly knocking sport off its pedestal and rightly identifying public safety as the obvious priority.
This is crazy. Please stop fooling around and land on reality. Let's be honest, there are much more important priorities than any sport.
