Every Player Jadon Sancho Has Assisted for Borussia Dortmund & England

facebooktwitterreddit

Jadon Sancho is quite the talent.

The 19-year-old is only in his third season as a senior football, but at Borussia Dortmund, Sancho has already become a household name, being directly involved in 78 goals for club and country already.

Sancho's most notably known for his creativity in the final third, so if you're wondering just how many players the youngster's set up in his professional career, 90min have got you covered with a look at every single teammate he's assisted in his entire senior career to date.

Own Goal (1)

With 45 assists in his career, it's quite amazing that only one was to set up an own goal.

But in hindsight, Standard Liège and Kosovo right-back Mërgim Vojvoda just wanted to be included in this list, didn't he?

Shinji Kagawa (1)

Shinji Kagawa hasn't scored a header since Sancho set him up to rescue a point away at Hertha BSC.

It was also Sancho's first-ever assist.

Interestingly, Kagawa's never lost a match in his career when he's scored a header.

Marius Wolf (1)

It's easy to forget that Marius Wolf spent time at Borussia Dortmund...

Yep, that's it. That's all the insight you're getting with that assist.

Julian Weigl (1)

Inserts crying emoji.

When Julian Weigl scores, fans are usually in for a goal-fest.

He scored three times in three separate games, with those matches seeing a combined 20 goals.

Inserts (another) crying emoji.

Raheem Sterling (1)

Just imagine what could have been at Manchester City.

Still, it's the first of many we assume.

Thorgan Hazard (1)

How many times has Sancho set up Eden Hazard

That's right, zero.

Nil pois.

So, Thorgan > Eden?

Nico Schulz (1)

Since Sancho set up the only goal Nico Schulz has scored at Borussia Dortmund in December 2019 he's made just two Bundesliga appearances.

It's not a tactical decision from Lucien Favre either. The BVB boss just knows that's as good as things will ever get for Schulz at Dortmund.

Yes, that was typed with our sarcastic font.

Tammy Abraham (1)

Sancho's only been linked with a move to Chelsea in the aftermath of him setting up Tammy Abraham.

Coincidence?

Absolutely, yes. Stop getting ahead of yourself.

Erling Haaland (1)

We know Erling Haaland has only just joined Borussia Dortmund, but we don't know how he's only scored one goal that's been set up by Sancho.

Mats Hummels (1)

Yes, it was from a corner.

No, we don't need to check, we just know that it would have been.

Jacob Bruun Larsen (1)

Jacob Bruun Larsen has scored fewer Bundesliga goals than Nicklas Bendtner.

We can all agree, that's a pretty rough stat for any player.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (1)

Hang on, Trent Alexander-Arnold doesn't just whip Kevin De Bruyne-esque crosses in all game?

Hmmm, we're not convinced, but 'apparently' this partnership did actually happen.

Maximilian Philipp (2)

Both of Maxi Philipp's goals came in back to back home games during the 2017/18 season.

Sancho set up 10% of all the goals Philipp scored during his career in the Bundesliga.

Axel Witsel (2)

Axel Witsel, a defensive midfielder, has scored 10 goals for Borussia Dortmund.

That's more than Michy Batshuayi and André Schürrle managed for the club.

Raphaël Guerreiro (2)

He's the second-highest Portuguese goalscorer in Bundesliga history.

Any guesses for the best was?

Yep, that's right, Vieirinha.

Achraf Hakimi (2)

Name a better right-sided partnership that's better than Jadon Sancho and Achraf Hakimi.

We'll wait.

But, what about Liverpool?

Well, okay. But name another one.

Julian Brandt (2)

Almost a third of Julian Brandt's seven goals for Borussia Dortmund have been set up by Sancho and they've only been teammates since July.

Mario Götze (3)

Assisting the guy who scored the winning goal in a World Cup final really is something special.

Sancho's done it three times.

Dan-Axel Zagadou (3)

We don't know how this has happened either.

Well, we do. Sancho takes corners and Dan-Axel Zagadou is an absolute giant, especially when it comes to attacking from set-pieces.

But still, it's a weird partnership, isn't it?

Paco Alcácer (7)

It really is a shame that things didn't quite work out for Paco Alcácer, forcing them to go out and sign Erling Haaland for what was, in the modern transfer market at least, spare change.

Yeah, what a shame it was...

Marco Reus (10)

It's the bromance we just didn't know we needed.

An impressive 22.2% of Sancho's assists have been finished off by Marco Reus and both players have a brilliant connection on the pitch which has carried Borussia Dortmund at times over the last two years.
