6 Notable Absentees from England Women's SheBelieves Cup Squad

Phil Neville named his squad for the 2020 SheBelieves Cup on Tuesday, as England begin their defence of the tournament against hosts the United States on 5 March.
The youthful additions of Chloe Kelly, Sandy MacIver and Grace Fisk grabbed the headlines from Neville's squad selection, but in order to bring players into the 23, some had to drop out.
Be it injury, illness, lack of game time or simply being overlooked, here are some of the biggest names who are not on the plane to the States.
Beth Mead
England have largely underwhelmed since returning from the World Cup, but one player who cannot be accused of such is Beth Mead. The Arsenal forward has been the stand out performer for the Lionesses since the summer, but missed out on selection for the SheBelieves Cup after sustaining a knee injury during her side's victory over Liverpool.
Arsenal confirmed that she is expected to return before the end of the campaign, with Neville describing her as being in the "best form of her career."
Fran Kirby
Fran Kirby was a regular fixture in England's run to the semi finals in France, but has featured just four times in the WSL for Chelsea this season.
The forward recently revealed she has been absent due to a viral infection, and although on the mend, she has not put a time frame on her return.
Jade Moore
Jade Moore has been selected for England's last three major tournaments, and was one of the unsung heroes of England's surprise run to the semi finals at the 2015 World Cup in Canada.
However, she only started twice in France, and has not received an international call up since August, despite her consistency for club side Reading, with it looking like Keira Walsh has nailed down the starting berth in the number four role.
Mary Earps
Mary Earps was given the nod between the sticks for England's huge game against Germany at Wembley, but has found herself out of the squad for the SheBelieves Cup.
Neville said it was simply a choice between Carly Telford as he wanted to expose young goalkeepers Sandy MacIver and Ellie Roebuck to tournament football. But this decision would suggest that Earps is now back behind Telford in the pecking order, having briefly appeared as England's number one after a strong start to the season for Manchester United.
Jodie Taylor
Euro 2017 Golden Boot winner Jodie Taylor slipped behind Ellen White in the England pecking order in the build up to the World Cup - with White's six goals proving Neville's faith to be well placed.
Beth England's form for club and country has seen the Chelsea striker also overtake Taylor, and with Neville's preference to play with one up top, he is unlikely to name more than two out-and-out strikers in his squad. Taylor's lack of club football with Reign FC - as the NWSL season has not started yet - also did not help her cause, although this did not prevent Neville from selecting Rachel Daly from Houston Dash.
Gemma Bonner
Gemma Bonner has been a key cog in the meanest defence in the WSL this season. Manchester City have conceded just six goals in 15 games this season, with Bonner lining up in the heart of the defence alongside England captain Steph Houghton.
Bonner has made 11 appearances for her country, and was called up for England's last batch of internationals in November. However, Neville already has a plethora of centre backs at his disposal in Houghton, Leah Williamson, Millie Bright and Abbie McManus, and has opted to go with the youth of Jess Fisk instead of Bonner.
