Fluctuations in Paulo Dybala's FIFA Ratings Over the Years Underlines His Meteoric Rise to Stardom

Paulo Dybala continues to prove to everyone what a big deal he is in the modern game, and his rise to stardom has been nothing short of impressive.

His amazing growth as a young footballer has been plain to see, signalled by his new contract extension at Juventus. His rise has also been evident over the past few FIFA games.

One year later on FIFA 14, Dybala actually received a downgrade in his rating, going from 73 to 72.

On FIFA 15, remarkably, he received a further downgrade, taking his rating to just 70. But his move to Juventus proved to be a major turning point for the Argentine international, who was then boosted four points to 74 halfway through the season.

One year later and making waves in real life, Dybala was upgraded to 78 - meaning it was the first time he had a gold card. He also received a couple of special cards as his form for Juve in real life picked up, including a staggering 91-rated Team of the Year blue card - his highest to date.

For FIFA 17 Dybala's starting card is now rated at a remarkable 85, a whopping 13 points higher than his first ever silver, confirming his status as one of the fastest-rising talents in world football. After in forms, his highest rated card is 90 as a CAM (central attacking midfielder).

Many have touted the attacker to go on and become the closest thing to the "next Lionel Messi", with many more predicting him to be facing off with Neymar for future Ballons d'Or, as Messi has done so frequently with Cristiano Ronaldo.

Dybala got the upper hand on Messi in Juventus and Barca's Champions League quarter-final clash on Tuesday, with the former scoring a brace in the Italians' 3-0 win.
