Manchester City hope to take another sizeable step towards the Premier League title on Saturday lunchtime when they visit Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Pep Guardiola's side are currently a point off league leaders and title rivals Arsenal but they do have a game in hand against Tottenham Hotspur next Tuesday. However, they will have to deal with Fulham first, a team that beat the Gunners earlier in the season in west London.

However, confidence will be high as City look to continue their run of six consecutive league victories, with a 5-1 thrashing of Wolverhampton Wanderers last time out. Erling Haaland starred in the demolition at the Etihad Stadium, powering four past the Old Gold as he hunts successive Premier League Golden Boot awards.

Here is how the champions could line up for a crucial clash at Craven Cottage.

GK: Ederson - The Brazilian shook off a knock to return against Wolves last weekend, meaning Guardiola has no injury concerns as things stand. Ederson will undoubtedly start again in the capital.

RB: Kyle Walker - The right-back has started 28 of the 29 league matches in which he has made the squad this season and it would be bold for Guardiola to drop the England international this Saturday.

CB: Manuel Akanji - Now a must-start for Man City given his incredible form over the past few months, Akanji will be tasked with keeping the lively Rodrigo Muniz quiet at Craven Cottage.

CB: Nathan Ake - Substituted with 20 minutes to play against Wolves to offer him a much-needed breather, with the left-footed centre-back also keeping the likes of John Stones and Ruben Dias out of the team at present.

LB: Josko Gvardiol - The summer recruit has been in sensational form over the past month, with three goals and an assist in his last six games in all competitions. His place in the starting lineup appears to be safe from Guardiola's regular rotation.

CM: Rodri - Not only did Rodri produce an immense defensive display against Wolves, he also popped up with two assists. There is simply nothing he can't do.

CM: Mateo Kovacic - The former Chelsea man has started two of the last three games for City and offers some good driving runs from deep midfield positions.

RM: Bernardo Silva - He's the man that Guardiola trusts for the most important games, with Saturday's match-up absolutely vital for the champions. The Portuguese offers great balance on the right and often pops up with timely goals on the big stage.

AM: Kevin De Bruyne - The Belgian was on the pitch for four of Man City's five goals last weekend, yet failed to register a goal or an assist. For him, that's a pretty poor return, but he does still boast seven goal contributions since the start of April.

LM: Phil Foden - 16 goals and eight assists is a pretty impressive Premier League return for Foden this season, who has scored five in his last three league starts.

ST: Erling Haaland - After humiliating Wolves' backline last week, the colossal Norwegian will be aiming to do the same to Fulham's on Saturday. He's hitting peak form at just the right time for the Cityzens.
