Liverpool will have dreams of avenging an FA Cup defeat when they visit Old Trafford to face Manchester United on Sunday afternoon.

That loss last month ended the Reds' hopes of a quadruple in Jurgen Klopp's final season in charge but they remain top of the Premier League after Thursday's win over Sheffield United heading into Gameweek 32.

Klopp isn't free from injuries but has seen his side cope admirably throughout the campaign so far and will want to retain top spot come Sunday evening.

Here's the starting XI he could pick for victory at Old Trafford.

GK: Caoimhin Kelleher - Had to make a smart save in the first minute against Sheffield Utd and will want a third league clean sheet of the season.

RB: Conor Bradley - Netted another unfortunate own goal on Thursday, having also hit the back of his own net in the Europa League against Sparta Prague.

CB: Ibrahima Konate - Received treatment after a hefty challenge from William Osula but looks to have avoided serious harm and should be included in the starting XI.

CB: Virgil van Dijk - Liverpool's captain admitted he thinks Klopp will return to management quickly once he leaves Merseyside, but for now the big Dutchman's main priority is keeping a dysfunctional United attack at bay.

LB: Andy Robertson - Made his return from an injury scare on international duty by setting up Cody Gakpo's late header, reclaiming the record for most assists by a defender in the Premier League with 59 to Trent Alexander-Arnold's 58.

CM: Dominik Szoboszlai - Has admitted "our fate is in our own hands" in regards to Liverpool's title charge. The Hungarian has contributed plenty to that challenge in his first season at Anfield.

CM: Wataru Endo - A return in holding midfield for Endo would allow the in-form Alexis Mac Allister the freedom to carve out more moments of magic.

CM: Alexis Mac Allister - The Argentine's thunderbolt capped another glittering display for the midfielder, who has registered a goal contribution in his last six club matches.

RW: Mohamed Salah - Was hooked just after the hour-mark to the horror of FPL players worldwide but will be fresher for it here. United remain his favourite opposition, having scored 13 goals in 14 appearances.

ST: Darwin Nunez - The Uruguayan really does score all kinds of goals - his charge down on Thursday was his 11th in the league this term.

LW: Luis Diaz - Made six chances against Sheffield Utd and has been in hot form since the beginning of 2024.
