Three extra fixtures in the penultimate gameweek of the season presents a significant opportunity to gain major FPL points, particularly if you select the right captain.

Manchester City, Newcastle United, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur are among the teams who will get two cracks of the whip in gameweek 37, and Fantasy Football Hub's powerful AI Points Predictions tool has helped pick out the three standouts who should deliver you the goods.

Erling Haaland

Fixtures: Fulham (A), Tottenham Hotspur (A; Predicted Points: 15.5

Erling Haaland is back in charge of the Golden Boot after his four-goal showing against Wolverhampton Wanderers, so it's no surprise to see him top the captaincy picks with two games om the horizon.

City have tunnel vision on securing a fourth Premier League title in a row - they had midweek off after crashing out of the Champions League - and that only enhances the chances of Haaland playing the full 180 minutes.

He scored 27 FPL points in the reverse fixtures against Fulham and Tottenham, which bodes well for more joy.

Alexander Isak

  • Fixtures: Brighton (H), Manchester United (A); Predicted Points: 12.3

Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak leads the forwards form chart post-internationak break, scoring eight goals in seven games to take his tally for the season to 20.

14 of Isak's goals have come at St James' Park - their first double gameweek fixture is against Brighton at home - and the return of Callum Wilson to fitness is unlikely to hinder his output. The struggles of Manchester United will also appeal to those considering Isak, who remains Newcastle's penalty taker despite seeing a timid effort saved at Burnley last weekend.

Cole Palmer

Fixtures: Nottingham Forest (A), Brighton (A); Predicted Points: 10.9

Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is the highest scoring player in FPL this season and is significantly ahead of his rivals in terms of points per match. He has 32 goal involvements in 35 appearances - 21 goals and 11 assists - and is in devilish form as the Blues look to secure a European berth.

The 22-year-old has produced more double-digit points displays than any other player, though one thing to note is that most of his real heavyweight points tallies have come from games played at Stamford Bridge - Chelsea are on the road for both of their gameweek 37 fixtures.
