And breathe.
Manchester City are top of the Premier League heading into the final day of the season after a hectic 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur that leaves Arsenal needing a miracle next Sunday if they are to get their hands on the title.
Ahead of the game, there had been plenty of calls from fans for Spurs to throw the game intentionally - the sight of Arsenal lifting the title almost too much to bear - and the anti-Arsenal brigade seemed to like what they saw from Ange Postecoglou's starting lineup.
i see unfamiliar names in the spurs lineup, yall aint even gonna try huh🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡🫡

Hojbjerg starts! Ange has thrown the game!

Just saw that Spurs lineup, congrats to Man City LOOOOOOOOOOL

It became clear almost immediately that Spurs were here to play.
Much to the horror of many watching, Rodrigo Bentancur had the first chance of the game, with Spurs looking lively in midfield and dangerous in the final third.
Bentancur did NOT want to score that 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I’ve seen enough get Bentancur off
— Marcus (@mjbthfc) May 14, 2024
Bentancur shot on target sub him off now that’s disgraceful

Down the other end, Guglielmo Vicario was also determined to spoil City's party as the Italian made a great reflex save following a sliced clearance from Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.
We see you Hojbjerg https://t.co/zZllUtbvUl
— Kieren (@kjjjwilliams) May 14, 2024
I can tell you now - there would have been considerably more groans and grumbles if Hojbjerg had done that against literally anyone else
— Sean Walsh (@SeanDZWalsh) May 14, 2024
Why’s vicario try harding the neek

The half-time whistle came and Arsenal fans were licking their lips. City had just produced one of the worst 45 minutes of their entire campaign when it truly mattered most.
Surely there would be a reaction from Pep Guardiola's side?
There is no way city will be that bad second half. If only spurs could’ve found a goal.. would’ve made it interesting! #epl
— Parm (@parm_9) May 14, 2024
As bad as I’ve seen Man City this. Very very poor. MUST step up or title gone.

Six minutes after the restart, the reaction came.
It was none other than Erling Haaland, who popped up in the six-yard box to tap home and send both home and away fans into a frenzy.
Haaland actually scoring important goals? Who would've thought
— A32 (@rashdecisions1) May 14, 2024
Time for Arsenal fans to go to sleep, Haaland the dream crusher has arrived.
— David Kappel (@kappilinho) May 14, 2024
ahahhaha spurs fans singing 'are you watching arsenal'
— Keegan (@whynotkeegan) May 14, 2024
ARSENAL ARE CRYINGGGGGHG
— Hashim (@CFCHash) May 14, 2024
G
It wasn't all rosy for City as Kevin De Bruyne was left limping after a nasty challenge from Pape Matar Sarr, before Ederson was left in a heap following a collision with Cristian Romero.
Ederson tried to play on but the City doctor ultimately forced Guardiola to withdraw the Brazilian, who was visibly furious as he left the pitch.
No Ederson, possibly no KDB. Even if they hold on Arsenal still favourites. What a joke man.

City had to hang on and relied on a number of huge saves from stand-in stopper Stefan Ortega, who pulled out a sensational play to deny Son Heung-min after the South Korea international found himself through on goal in the dying embers.
That save could forever be remembered as the moment City got their hands on the title.
Ortega gotta be one of the best second goalkeepers of all time
— Bison (@BisonInTheAir) May 14, 2024
akanji should give this week's wage to ortega
— rii (@haal9rse) May 14, 2024
Ortega just pulled a Kolo Muani vs Martinez
— Pac (@_P_ac_) May 14, 2024
Arsenal fans look away
And down the other end, City were awarded a penalty in the 90th minute after Jeremy Doku was felled by Pedro Porro.
Up stepped Haaland. 2-0. See you on the final day.
Title race done! It’s a wrap! Let’s bring next season! 🤝🏾
