Bournemouth vs Man Utd: Preview, predictions and lineups

  • Bournemouth host Man Utd in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon
  • Cherries won the reverse fixture 3-0 at Old Trafford in December
  • Red Devils without a win in three after two draws and a defeat

Manchester United are out for revenge this weekend when they travel to Bournemouth in the Premier League.

One of the many low points of a dismal campaign, the Red Devils fell to a woeful 3-0 home defeat against Andoni Iraola's side back in December. Dominic Solanke and co. tore through Erik ten Hag's side on that occasion, but redemption will be on the mind for the Man Utd players this Saturday.

They haven't been in particularly inspiring form ahead of a trip to the south coast, failing to win any of their last three matches. Incredibly late goals against Brentford and Chelsea saw them drop points in their charge for top four, while a slightly fortuitous draw against Liverpool last time out hasn't papered over the cracks.

Bournemouth had been in impressive form until their 2-1 defeat to Luton Town last weekend, with four wins from their five outings prior to Kenilworth Road. They may find themselves 12th in the table but victory at the Vitality Stadium on Saturday would see them move within five points of Man Utd with six games to play.

Bournemouth vs Man Utd score prediction

With Man Utd so unpredictable, it remains difficult to know which version of Ten Hag's side you're likely to see. Their away form has been patchy this season and the intense pressing of Iraola's Bournemouth may cause them a few issues.

A spot in the top four is all but gone and that could see the energy sapped from Man Utd's display, with the Cherries ready to capitalise. However, the Red Devils' talented individuals might help them get something from the Vitality.

Prediction: Bournemouth 1-1 Man Utd
