Old Trafford has often been a poisoned chalice for Arsenal, but only three points will do if they're to preserve their Premier League title hopes.

Fortunately for the Gunners, they'll be facing a Manchester United side on track to endure their worst Premier League season ever. Their 4-0 battering away at Crystal Palace on Monday was one of several humiliations the Red Devils have suffered under Erik ten Hag's tenure, and things could turn ugly on Sunday should Arsenal hit the ground running.

Mikel Arteta's side have rattled off four consecutive wins to keep pace with Manchester City at the summit, but they'll fall behind the Cityzens at the top should they get the job done at Fulham on Saturday afternoon.

Arteta has found continuity in his starting XI over the past month, and here's the team he could pick for the trip to Old Trafford.

GK: David Raya - A 15th clean sheet of the season last week against Bournemouth secured Golden Glove honours for Raya, who'll be made a permanent signing in the summer.

RB: Ben White - An out-of-sorts Marcus Rashford is set to return to the United XI, and he typically stars against the Gunners. White will have to be wary.

CB: William Saliba - Saliba had a nightmare at Old Trafford trying to contain the hosts in transition, but the Frenchman very rarely produces performances of such low quality.

CB: Gabriel - The Brazilian has enjoyed a superb season, but there have been a few signs in recent weeks of the clumsiness which undermined the start of his Arsenal career creeping back into his game.

LB: Takehiro Tomiyasu - Jurrien Timber could return to the matchday squad, but Arteta will likely stick with the tried and trusted Tomiyasu in Manchester.

CM: Thomas Partey - Partey has returned with great effect over the past three games, with his impressive run of form potentially saving his Arsenal career.

CM: Declan Rice - The £105m bargain has returned to his best form during the Gunners' four-game winning run, scoring and assisting in last week's win. He'll enjoy the space United surrender in midfield.

CM: Martin Odegaard - Expect Odegaard to have a chance or two of repeating the goal he scored in the reverse fixture given United's struggles at dealing with cutback crosses.

RW: Bukayo Saka - Arsenal's starboy has found his scoring boots once again, but he could face-up against one-vs-one specialist Aaron Wan Bissaka on Sunday.

ST: Kai Havertz - Havertz has been the revelation of 2024 for the Gunners, with the German performing so well as a #9 during the second half of the season that Arsenal might avoid signing a striker this summer.

LW: Leandro Trossard - Trossard has kept Gabriel Martinelli out of the side during the run-in, and the Belgian, who scored again last weekend, is expected to start down the left again on Sunday.
