Arsenal are aiming to take another step towards Premier League glory this weekend when they host Bournemouth.

While the Gunners sit a point ahead of title rivals Manchester City, the reigning champions have a game in hand, putting them in control of the race for top spot. However, Arsenal can apply some pressure to the Cityzens this Saturday lunchtime with victory against Andoni Iraola's side.

Last week was a successful one for the north London side as they beat Wolverhampton Wanderers, Chelsea and local rivals Tottenham to bounce back emphatically from their Champions League exit. Confidence will be high at the Emirates Stadium this weekend and, with Jurrien Timber the only doubt for the clash, Mikel Arteta has plenty of options when it comes to his starting lineup.

Here's the team Arsenal could field against the Cherries.

GK: David Raya - Despite his howler against Spurs last time out, the Spaniard firmly remains Arteta's first choice. One error won't change that.

RB: Ben White - The defender's excellent campaign continued with a brace against Chelsea during the recent 5-0 victory and he followed that display up with a mature outing at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

CB: William Saliba - Arsenal's solid defence has largely been built on his shoulders, with the Frenchman likely to be kept honest by the in-form Dominic Solanke this weekend.

CB: Gabriel - The Brazilian has been the perfect partner for Saliba this season and will fancy another clean sheet against the Cherries this weekend.

LB: Takehiro Tomiyasu - Arsenal have looked even sharper since the Japan international has taken residence at left-back, with Jakub Kiwior and Oleksandr Zinchenko unlikely to get a look in from the start.

CM: Declan Rice - After gifting Spurs a clumsy penalty last weekend that almost proved costly, Rice will have to be on his best behaviour against Bournemouth. Having said that, the £105m man has rarely put a foot wrong this season.

CM: Thomas Partey - The return of Partey has enabled Rice to play in more advanced positions, while also protecting Arsenal's back four. He will get the nod over Jorginho.

CM: Martin Odegaard - The former Real Madrid man is so often the difference-maker for Arsenal, unlocking defences with his excellent distribution. He starred in the reverse fixture back in late September.

RW: Bukayo Saka - Stole the show against Spurs last time out with a brilliant display, the crowning moment being his excellent strike in the first half. Milos Kerkez's suspension means Iraola has a dilemma this weekend as he tries to stop the Arsenal star.

ST: Kai Havertz - The German's recent form has been exceptional and he was another standout performer against Spurs last time out, as well as grabbing a double against his old employers Chelsea prior to that.

LW: Gabriel Martinelli - Leandro Trossard was favoured against Spurs but Martinelli may return against Bournemouth. His relentlessness and blistering speed could cause the Cherries a host of issues.
