Everton boss Sean Dyche has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month for April 2024.

The Toffees played six games across April and walked away with four wins, including a famous 2-0 win over Merseyside rivals Liverpool, to end any fears of relegation from the Premier League this season.

Dyche beat both Liverpool's Jurgen Klopp and Manchester City's Pep Guardiola to the award, which was voted on by both the public and a panel of experts.

It's the third time Dyche has won the Manager of the Month award, having previously done so with Burnley in March 2018 and February 2020, while he is also the first Everton boss to pick up the prize since Carlo Ancelotti in September 2020.

The award comes at a turbulent time for Everton and Dyche, who are watching on as a proposed takeover from 777 Partners continues to attract major uncertainty.

Meanwhile, Everton find themselves potentially needing to sell some top talents this summer to appease Premier League Profit and Sustainability Rules, having been hit with a points deduction earlier this season for previous breaches.

"At my last club there was a takeover and it took a long time," Dyche said earlier this week. "There's a lot going on at this club. It's not just simple as the club's up and running and you buy it.

"You've got a new ground getting built, the complexities of the finances here, staying in the division - which has now been achieved. So I don't know if all of those points are necessary, but I would imagine there's a lot of detail that goes in to buying this club."
