Depois de Willian, Pedro confirma saída e se despede do Chelsea

Um domingo de despedidas para o Chelsea. Depois de sacramentada a eliminação do clube para o Bayern de Munique nas oitavas de final da Champions League no último sábado, a temporada da equipe definitivamente chegou ao seu final. Isso significa também que algumas saídas que pareciam iminentes agora são fatos concretos. Como Willian e Pedro.

A dupla postou mensagens de adeus aos torcedores e à instituição londrina em suas respectivas contas no Instagram. Com mensagens emocionadas, ambos celebraram o período em que estiveram em Stamford Bridge, mas destacaram que chegou o momento de alçar novos voos:

AN OPEN LETTER TO THE FANS OF CHELSEA FOOTBALL CLUB . . They were seven wonderful years. In August 2013 when I received the offer from Chelsea, I was convinced that this was where I had to play. Today I am certain that it was the best of decisions. There were so many happy times, some sad, there were trophies and it was always very intense. . . Yet, beyond the trophies, I learnt a lot about myself. I developed a great deal, becoming a better player and a better person. With each training session, with each game, with every minute spent in the dressing room, I was always learning. . . I am really grateful to the Chelsea fans for the affectionate way they welcomed me at Stamford Bridge and their support throughout my time at the club. There was also criticism, which is normal, what is important though is that both the affection and criticism drove me to always give my all in every training session, every game, to be constantly improving until my very last minute in a Chelsea shirt! . . The time has now come to move on. I am certainly going to miss my teammates. I will miss all the staff at the club who’ve always treated me like a son and I will miss the fans. I leave with my head held high, safe in the knowledge that I won things here and always did my best in a Chelsea shirt! . . My heartfelt thanks go out to all of you and God bless you! . After five wonderful years my stage at Chelsea FC comes to an end. Thanks a lot to the club’s board, to the coaches and teammates I’ve had, and of course to the fans: thank you for the experience of being a member of your big family. I’ve been very happy here, you’ve made me feel like home. It’s been a pleasure and an honour to play for this club and win the Premier League, FA Cup and Europa League titles, as well as competing in one of the world's best football leagues. I made the right choice, I take with me wonderful and unforgettable memories. New challenges and triumphs will come for sure. I say farewell very pleased with this stage of my career, and I'm also very excited with the next to begin. Thanks and good luck for the future. Enquanto muito se diz a respeito de um acerto de Willian com o Arsenal (fazendo, portanto, o mesmo trajeto que outro brasileiro, David Luiz), as especulações em torno de Pedro seguem um pouco mais incertas. O principal rumor é de que o futebol italiano (mais precisamente a Roma) seja seu provável destino. No entanto, seu nome já foi vinculado a Juventus, Bétis, Valencia e Sevilla.
