Yves Bissouma has indicated to Brighton that he wants to leave the club in the upcoming summer transfer window, 90min understands, with a host of sides already showing an interest in his signature.

The 25-year-old Mali international has become one of the most in-demand holding midfielders in England over the past couple of seasons as a result of his marauding performances in the Premier League.

Bissouma - who arrived at Brighton from Lille in 2018 - has 15 months left on his current deal at the Amex Stadium and the Seagulls would ideally like to extend his contract, but they have been informed that is highly unlikely at this stage.

The midfield enforcer was the subject of a rejected bid from Aston Villa in January, while Arsenal looked closely at him the previous summer. Villa’s interest remains, as does the Gunners', with both sides now considering a summer move.

Manchester United had also previously scouted the player, and it is believed their transfer department is still keeping tabs on him.

Meanwhile Liverpool, Leicester and Newcastle have also watched Bissouma, along with a number of clubs on the continent. Monaco - who are likely to lose impressive youngster Aurelien Tchouameni this summer - are one of those understood to be keen.

With just 12 months set to be left on his contract once the summer rolls around, Brighton do appear ready to sanction his departure - but as they proved in January when they rejected Villa’s offer, the Seagulls will only do a deal if it is right for them.
