It's safe to say the first 45 minutes of the 2023/24 Champions League quarter-finals did not disappoint.

Arsenal vs Bayern Munich. Real Madrid vs Manchester City. Four of the biggest names in Europe butted heads on Tuesday evening and they wasted little time putting on a show, with goals flying in at a breathtaking pace.

It took just two minutes for City to open the scoring through a delightfully cheeky Bernardo Silva free kick, which really set the tone for the opening halves.

Eduardo Camavinga's deflected strike tied things up soon after, and at almost the exact same time, Bukayo Saka was wheeling away in celebration at the Emirates.

The Englishman's curled effort ensured fans watching both games had something to celebrate early on, but the fun wasn't slowing down just yet.

Rodrygo joined the fun just seconds later, doubling Madrid's advantage over City and leaving fans watching at home suffering from whiplash as they turned their heads from one game to the other.

Only 18 minutes into the evening's action, we were treated to our fifth goal.

Back over in London, former Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry's glorious strike tied things up for Bayern, whose miserable run of form had seen many count them out of this tie before it had even begun.

And the sixth and final goal of an unfathomable first half came from none other than Harry Kane, who stepped up to the penalty spot to fire Munich into a 2-1 lead of their own by the break.

If you weren't watching, what were you doing?
