Lionel Messi is likely to return to the squad after he missed last weekend's draw with Lyon due to testing positive for Covid-19.

Indeed, Pochettino has been wrestling with a spate of Covid-19 cases after Angel Di Maria, Julian Draxler, Gianlugi Donnarumma, Layvin Kurzawa and Danilo were also absent last time out.

Elsewhere, Achraf Hakimi, Idrissa Gueye and Abdou Diallo will miss out due to their participation in the Africa Cup of Nations.

PSG vs Brest head-to-head record

PSG will take encouragement from their recent record against Brest, having won their last ten straight meetings stretching back to 2011.

Pochettino's side also hit Brest for four in the reverse fixture in August, with Ander Herrera, Kylian Mbappe, Gueye and Di Maria all on the scoresheet.

There still remains questions as to which players Pochettino will be able to choose from amid the recent Covid-19 outbreak at PSG.

The Parisiens' league form has been concerning for a club with their resources, but the root of the problem lies predominantly away from home.

PSG's strength in depth means they should be able to see off Brest with change to spare, and fans will be hoping to see more of the likes of Edouard Michut and Xavi Simons in the meantime after their cameos against Lyon last weekend.

Prediction: PSG 3-0 Brest
