The 2022 Women's European Championships take place in England this summer, with the tournament kicking off on 6 July, before the crowning of the winner at Wembley on 31 July.

England last hosted the tournament back in 2005, with the final held at Blackburn's Ewood Park.

17 years on and with double the amount of teams, ten stadiums across nine cities in England are being used across the tournament to host the matches.


1. The Academy Stadium, Manchester

Capacity: 4,700
Fixtures: Belgium vs Iceland (Group D), Italy vs Iceland (Group D), Italy vs Belgium (Group D)

Manchester City's Academy Stadium will host three fixtures in Group D during Euro 2022.

Situated just across the road from the Etihad, the stadium is part of Manchester City's impressive training complex, and is currently the home of Manchester City Women.


2. The Amex Stadium, Brighton

Capacity: 30,000
Fixtures: England vs Norway (Group A), Austria vs Norway (Group A), Winner Group A vs Runner Up Group B (quarter-final)

The home of Premier League outfit Brighton and Hove Albion will host Norway's second and third group fixtures at the Euros plus one quarter-final, with a bumper crowd expected for the clash with England on 11 July.

The Amex has a proud recent history when it comes to women's football. It was the venue for Arsenal's WSL title triumph over Brighton in 2019 in front of a then record crowd for the league of 5,265.


3. Bramall Lane, Sheffield

Capacity: 30,000
Fixtures: Netherlands vs Sweden (Group C), Sweden vs Switzerland (Group C), Switzerland vs Netherlands (Group C), Semi-final 1

The home of Sheffield United is one of two Yorkshire stadiums being used at Euro 2022, with Bramall Lane hosting one of the standout fixtures of the group stages as Olympic silver medalists Sweden take on defending European champions the Netherlands.

Bramall Lane will also be the venue for the first semi-final of the tournament - should England win their group and navigate past the quarter-finals, this will be the semi-final that they will be involved in.


4. Brentford Community Stadium, London

Capacity: 17,000
Fixtures: Germany vs Denmark (Group B), Germany vs Spain (Group B), Denmark vs Spain (Group B), Winner Group B vs Runner Up Group A (quarter-final)

Brentford's new home is the most modern stadium in use at Euro 2022, having first opened in 2020.

The west London venue will play host to the stand out match from the group stages, as pre-tournament favourites Germany and Spain go head to head.


5. Leigh Sports Village, Leigh

Capacity: 12,000
Fixtures: Portugal vs Switzerland (Group C), Netherlands vs Portugal (Group C), Sweden vs Portugal (Group C), Winner Group C vs Runner Up Group D (quarter-final)

Leigh Sports Village is where Manchester United Women play their home games, alongside the Leigh Centurions Rugby League team.

The ground will be the venue for all three group fixtures for Portugal, in addition to the third quarter-final.


6. New York Stadium, Rotherham

Capacity: 12,000
Fixtures: France vs Italy (Group D), France vs Belgium (Group D), Iceland vs France (Group D), Winner Group D vs Runner Up Group C (quarter-finals)

The New York Stadium is the second Yorkshire stadium being utilised for Euro 2022, and is the location for three Group C fixtures.

Rotherham's home is also the venue for the fourth and final quarter-final, featuring the winner of Group D.


7. Old Trafford, Trafford

Capacity: 74,000
Fixtures: England vs Austria (Group A)

Euro 2022 kicks off at Old Trafford on 6 July, as England take on Austria.

The home of Manchester United played host to one of the greatest games in women's football history in the shape of the USWNT's epic 4-3 victory over Canada in the 2012 Olympic semi finals.


8. Stadium MK, Milton Keynes

Capacity: 30,000
Fixtures: Spain vs Finland (Group B), Denmark vs Finland (Group B), Finland vs Germany (Group B), Semi-final 2

The home of MK Dons will stage half of the Euro 2022 group of death, with highly fancied Germany and Spain and Euro 2017 runners up Denmark all in action.

Stadium MK will also host the second semi-final - which could feature the winner of said group of death.


9. St Mary's Stadium, Southampton

Fixtures: Norway vs Northern Ireland (Group A), Austria vs Northern Ireland (Group A), Northern Ireland vs England (Group A)

Northern Ireland Women are playing in their maiden major tournament at Euro 2022, and will play out all of their group fixtures at the home of Southampton.

All eyes will be on St Mary's for the final match in Group A, as home nations England and Northern Ireland go head to head.


10. Wembley Stadium, London

Fixtures: Euro 2022 final

Just as it was 12 months earlier for the men's European Championships, the home of English football will be the venue for the final of Euro 2022.

The stadium has played host to many famous women's football fixtures over the past decade, including the final of the 2012 Olympics, every FA Cup final since 2015 and a handful of attendance milestones for both England and Team GB.
