The Blades have not been in action since December 20 after their fixtures against Hull and Middlesbrough were postponed, with Heckingbottom admitting this week that his team selection will be affected by 'a couple of Covid-19 issues'.

Robin Olsen, Jack O'Connell and John Fleck are all expected to miss out, while Rhian Brewster and Oli McBurnie will face late fitness tests. Sander Berge could make his first start since August after some respite in his battle with a hamstring injury.

Morgan Gibbs-White is ineligible to face his parent club.

Wolves vs Sheffield United head-to-head record

Wolves have reigned supreme in five out of their last eight meetings against the Blades, doing the double over Sheffield United in the Premier League last season.

Early goals from Raul Jimenez and Saiss powered Wolves to victory at Bramall Lane, while a second half strike from Willian Jose condemned Sheffield United to relegation in the reverse fixture in April.

The Blades did win at home when these sides met in July 2020, but they haven't won at Molineux since goals from Michael Tonge and Wayne Allison inspired a 3-1 victory in April 2002.

Promotion back to the Premier League will be the main priority for Sheffield United this season, and there would be no shame if they were to bow out of the FA Cup to a top-flight side.

Lage's side have prided themselves on a parsimonious defence this term and they will rely upon it once again if they are to go deep in this competition.

Wolves should prevail in a tight affair this weekend.

Prediction: Wolves 2-0 Sheffield United
