Wolves predicted lineup vs Tottenham

Wolves boss Bruno Lage didn't get off to the best start as Jamie Vardy's first half goal condemned him to a 1-0 defeat at Leicester City on the opening day of the Premier League season.

The former Benfica boss has the opportunity to right that wrong this weekend against his predecessor, Nuno Espirito Santo, in what will be his first competitive game in charge at Molineux.

Raul Jimenez is back fit and raring to go, but there's a number of injury worries to concern the Portuguese as he looks to down a Tottenham side who beat Manchester City in the first game. Here's 90min's predicted home lineup...

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Jose Sa (GK) - Equal to most things that Leicester City threw at him last weekend, Sa will require another big performance against a Spurs side unbeaten in five at Molineux.

Romain Saiss (CB) - A real threat from set pieces, the 31-year-old is an experienced member of the Wolves backline.

Conor Coady (CB) - The Liverpool academy graduate was handed the captain’s armband by Nuno during his time at Molineux and Bruno Lage will rely upon the England international to set the tone again this season.

Max Kilman (CB) - Wolves’ most composed defender during their narrow defeat to Leicester City on the opening weekend, the 24-year-old has a bright future ahead.

2. Midfielders & wing backs

Ki-Jana Hoever (RWB) - Quiet at King Power Stadium, Hoever must be more influential in the final third in order to stretch the game.

Ruben Neves (CM) - May have been outfoxed by Leicester's midfield on the opening day but Neves' guile and set-piece prowess will be key to unlocking Spurs’ defence.

Leander Dendocker (CM) - Wolves improved after his introduction for Joao Moutinho last weekend and the Belgian’s steel in the middle of the pitch will be key against a physical Spurs midfield.

Marcal (LWB) - A creative threat in an otherwise insipid attacking display from Wolves last time out, the Brazilian must continue to offer offensive width.

3. Forwards

Francisco Trincao (RW) - The 21-year-old has plenty of promise but his first year at Barcelona was underwhelming. Must show the form he displayed at Braga if he's to trouble Sergio Reguilon.

Raul Jimenez (ST) - Wasn't it great to see the Mexican return to action against Leicester after his horrific head injury? The goals will follow for Jimenez, don't back against them starting against his old boss..

Adama Traore (LW) - Squandered his side’s biggest chance last week but his pace is instrumental to Wolves’ attacking threat.
