Arsenal saw David Luiz and Bernd Leno sent off as a Joao Moutinho wonderstrike condemned the Gunners to a 2-1 Premier League defeat against Wolves at Molineux on Tuesday night.

The visitors were dominant from the outset with Bukayo Saka hitting the post and having a fine finish ruled out for offside inside 10 minutes. The Gunners would eventually take a deserved lead through Nicolas Pepe, who beat two Wolves players before curling one past Rui Patricio.

Deep into first half stoppage time, the game turned on its head, with David Luiz being dismissed for a trip on Willian Jose in the box. Ruben Neves converted the resultant penalty to level things up.

Minutes after the break, the hosts went ahead when Joao Moutinho channeled his inner Ruben Neves with a 30-yard screamer. Arsenal then compounded their own misery when Bernd Leno was dismissed for handling the ball outside of the box with just under 20 minutes to play.

Here are your Wolves and Gunners' player ratings...

Wolves

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Rui Patricio (GK) - 7/10 - Kept his side in it with some top saves early on.

Nelson Semedo (RB) - 6/10 - Criminal defending for the opener. Should have never dived in. His attacking play was decent.

Conor Coady (CB) - 6/10 - Played some good progressive, long passes but did not look the most comfortably defensively in the first half.

Wily Boly (CB) - 7/10 - Solid display. He denied Saka a great chance in the first half.

Max Kilman (LB) - 5/10 - Played out of position and it showed. Hopelessly torn apart by Saka in the first half. Could have done with some help from Neto, but his one-on-one defending was still poor.

2. Midfielders

Ruben Neves (CM) - 7/10 - Struggled to assert himself in the first half. Kept things neat and tidy when Wolves gained the upper hand.

Joao Moutinho (CM) - 8/10 - His arrowing strike into the top corner is a contender for goal of the season. Also completed two key passes.

Daniel Podence (AM) - 7/10 - Linked the midfield and attack fairly well, also played the through ball that led to David Luiz's dismissal.

3. Forwards

Adama Traore (RW) - 6/10 - Completed seven of his nine dribbles, although some of them were a bit aimless.

Willian Jose (ST) - 7/10 - Won the penalty with a intelligent run and tumble. Also, held things up well. He looks exactly what Wolves need.

Pedro Neto (LW) - 7/10 - Sprung to life in the second half after a slow start. His direct running was impressive.

4. Substitutes

Vitinha - 7/10 - Showed his class with some clever touched and runs off the ball.

Leander Dendoncker - 6/10 - Tightened things up.

Bernd Leno (GK) - 4/10 - Horrific decision making led to him getting a red card. Did make three saves before that though.

Hector Bellerin (RB) - 7/10 - Doubled up nicely with Saka in the first half to expose Kilman. Forced to sit in after that, which he did effectively.

Rob Holding (CB) - 6/10 - Did his best to keep Wolves at bay, registering eight clearances.

David Luiz (CB) - 3/10 - David mate. Please stop getting sent off.

Cedric Soares (LB) - 7/10 - Another impressive display. Surged forward in the first half and defended well.

6. Midfielders

Thomas Partey (CM) - 7/10 - Ran the show in the first half, breaking up the play and clipping balls to Saka for fun. Remained disciplined.

Granit Xhaka (CM) - 5/10 - Dropped deep and allowed Partey to do his thing early on.

Emile Smith-Rowe (AM) - 6/10 - Drifted into the half spaces well, until being reduced to a passenger by the red cards.

7. Forwards

Bukayo Saka (RW) - 7/10 - He was unplayable in the opening stages, hitting the post and having a goal ruled out. Worked hard all evening.

Alexandre Lacazette (ST) - 7/10 - Another good performance before being sacrificed for a defender at half time.

Nicolas Pepe (LW) - 7/10 - Showed great reliance and deserved a bit of luck for his goal. Was bright throughout and was unfortunate to be hauled off after an hour.

8. Substitutes

Gabriel - 6/10 - Did nothing wrong and will now start against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang - 5/10 - Looked a bit off the pace. Then again, not a lot he could do when Arsenal went down to nine.

Runar Alex Runarsson - 6/10 - Managed not to concede after being woken up from his normal nap to replace Leno.
