Tottenham Hotspur fell victim to another late equaliser on Sunday afternoon as they dropped two points in a 1-1 draw away at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

After taking an early lead through Tanguy Ndombele, it looked for all the world like Spurs would hold out for the win, with Jose Mourinho's back five defending stoically in the face of wave after wave of attacks.

Yet Wolves continued to apply the pressure and the visitors' resistance was shattered in the 86th minute when Romain Saiss ran clear of Ben Davies to glance home Pedro Neto's corner, rescuing a point in the dying embers of the game

Nuno Espirito Santo's men moved up to eleventh as a result, while Spurs rose to fifth, still six points off league leaders Liverpool.

Here are the player ratings.

TOTTENHAM

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Hugo Lloris (GK) - 6/10 - Couldn't do much about the equaliser and didn't have a great deal else to do.

Sergio Reguilon (LWB) - 5/10 - No real conviction in his forays down the left flank. Substituted after an hour.

Ben Davies (CB) - 6/10 - Lost his marker, Saiss, as Wolves equalised from a corner but did pick up an assist.

Davinson Sanchez (CB) - 7/10 - Composed and assured in what was a solid display.

Eric Dier (CB) - 7/10 - Marshalled the defence well and it looked like he was going to earn a cleat sheet for his efforts until Saiss spoiled the party late on.

Matt Doherty (RWB) - 7/10 - A workmanlike display from the Irishman against his former club. No Spurs player made more tackles (4) or interceptions (3).

2. Midfielders

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (CM) - 7/10 - Kept the ball moving and won his individual battles. Made the most passes of any Spurs player (64).

Harry Winks (CM) - 5/10 - Came in from the cold after a prolonged spell out of the side and lacked composure on the ball, looking a bit rusty as you might expect.

Tanguy Ndombele (CAM) - 8/10 - Opened the scoring early on with a crisp strike from the edge of the penalty area. Motored forward from deep, powering his side up the pitch.

3. Forwards

Son Heung-Min (ST) - 6/10 - Was unable to rekindle his devastating partnership with Kane in what was a subdued display.

Harry Kane (ST) - 6/10 - His presence as a focal point was invaluable but his teammates weren't able to fashion a clear opportunity for him.

WOLVES

5. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Rui Patricio (GK) - 5/10 - Was slow to react as Ndombele's strike skidded into the middle of the net; a feeble effort at a save for a keeper of his calibre.

Fernando Marcal (LB) - 6/10 - Competent in his defensive duties but short of ideas going forward.

Romain Saiss (CB) - 8/10 - Glanced home Pedro Neto's corner for the equaliser. Was impressive at the back, while no Wolves player had more shots in the game (3) or completed more passes (75).

Conor Coady (CB) - 7/10 - Looked certain to be withdrawn midway through the first-half but soldiered on after picking up a knock, completing his 250th game for the club. He and Saiss dealt well with the Son and Kane partnership, nullifying the two strikers.

Nelson Semedo (RB) - 6/10 - Posed a threat down the right flank with his blistering pace.

6. Midfielders

Joao Moutinho (CDM) - 7/10 - Received the ball in tight spaces and worked his way out of them.

Ruben Neves (CDM) - 6/10 - His passing was wayward occasionally and generally a little negative but he was solid defensively.

7. Forwards

Pedro Neto (LW) - 7/10 - Completed some eye-catching dribbles with his electric pace, while his corner set up the equaliser.

Daniel Podence (CAM) - 6/10 - Volleyed a promising chance straight down the neck of Lloris in the first-half. Looked dangerous on the ball but lacked end product.

Adama Traore (RW) - 6/10 - Terrorised Tottenham in this fixture last season but could only demonstrate glimpses of his potential this time around.

Fabio Silva (ST) - 5/10 - Peeled off his marker to meet Semedo's cross in the first-half but was unable to notch his second Premier League goal after scoring at Turf Moor the week before, whipping a gilt-edged chance into the side netting. Struggled to hold the ball up.
