Wilfried Zaha responded with a now-deleted response on social media after Reece James inferred he silenced the Crystal Palace star during Chelsea's 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Odsonne Edouard opened the scoring for the hosts before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang netted his first goal for the Blues shortly before half time.

Former Eagles midfielder Conor Gallagher ended up haunting his old side in the 90th minute, converting Christian Pulisic's cross to hand Graham Potter a much-needed first victory as Chelsea manager.

Blues defender Reece James and Palace winger Zaha were involved in an entertaining duel throughout the clash and the former posted a picture of the pair on Twitter alongside a padlock emoji.

Zaha took the bait, posting "Clouts a hell of a drug lol But yall be safe" on his Instagram story before later taking it down.
