Christian Eriksen will make his first start for Manchester United since January after being drafted into the starting lineup to face Nottingham Forest on Sunday.

The Red Devils will look to return to winning ways at the City Ground following their disappointing and injury-plagued 2-2 draw with Sevilla in the Europa League on Thursday night.

But Erik ten Hag has been dealt another blow after Marcel Sabitzer - originally named in the XI to take on Forest - pulled up complaining of a groin injury in the warmup.

He has now been replaced by Eriksen, who only recently returned from an ankle injury suffered in January's FA Cup win against Reading.

Eriksen came back into the fold with 13 minutes off the bench in last Saturday's 2-0 win against Everton at Old Trafford, before making a 28-minute cameo in the draw with Sevilla.

He will start alongside preferred midfield partner Casemiro, who himself is back in a Premier League squad for the first time in five games following his red card against Southampton last month.
