Tite's pragmatic tendencies has perhaps prevented a ludicrously talented Brazilian squad from startling the masses in their 180 minutes of World Cup action thus far.

Brazil have dazzled in spurts in Qatar, while their defensive resilience has gone under the radar. Alisson Becker is yet to make a save at the tournament and such solidity will thrill the manager, who's here to get the job done.

Two wins from two in Group G means they've already booked their place in the round of 16 and here's who the Selecao could face in the knockout stages.

How did Brazil qualify for the last 16?

Brazil showed their class in their opening group game by seeing off Serbia. Richarlison opened the scoring before netting a brilliant second with an acrobatic finish.

They were made to work even harder by Switzerland. The game was goalless until the 83rd minute when Casemiro struck to take the Selecao through. They lost the final group game to Cameroon, but it didn't affect their status as group winners.
