The fight for footballing supremacy in South America is about to commence as the 64th Copa Libertadores gets underway.

It's a long old tournament, with three qualifying stages determining the final four entrants in the group stage. Flamengo are the current holders after they beat fellow Brazilians Athletico Paranaense 1-0 in last year's final. Thus, 46 teams are vying to dethrone O Mais Querido do Brasil, who are currently competing in the FIFA Club World Cup following their success, in 2023.

The competition is South America's equivalent to the widely adored UEFA Champions League, and while the Copa Libertadores isn't as far reaching as Europe's premier club competition, it's still a pretty big deal.

It's an event enjoyed across the globe, where purists can enjoy the juxtaposing samba silk and innate grit that South American sides possess.

Here's how football fans across the globe can enjoy the 2023 Copa Libertadores on TV.
