Manchester City's memorable 4-1 win over Premier League title rivals Arsenal saw momentum swing firmly in Pep Guardiola's favour at the expense of Mikel Arteta's Gunners.

The Citizens have embarked on a trademark run of form to take control of top spot in England's top flight and look set to deny Arsenal a first league triumph since 2003/04 despite the north London outfit leading the race for most of the campaign.

Another league title can be wrapped up for Guardiola and City in the very near future. Here's what they need to do.

The games when Manchester City can win the Premier League title

Arsenal's defeat to Brighton on Sunday means they can now finish the season with a maximum of 87 points. Man City are on 85 points with three games left.

City's superior goal difference means two points will probably be enough to win the league, but one more victory guarantees the title. Thus, the Sky Blues can win the league this weekend as they host Chelsea on Sunday afternoon.

However, should Arsenal lose at Nottingham Forest on Saturday, City will be crowned champions before they kick off against the Blues.

City's incredible form has not been matched by Arsenal, meaning the title race is unlikely to reach even the penultimate gameweek of the season.

The Gunners' defeat at home to Brighton means City have a four-point advantage having played a game fewer. If the current champions beat Chelsea at home on Sunday, they will lift the title in front of their own fans.

Frank Lampard's Blues cannot finish in the top ten and have displayed little to no chemistry with any starting XI this season. Their trip to the Etihad seems like leading lambs to slaughter.

City's laser-like focus in the title hunt makes it pretty unlikely they'll head Brighton needing another point or two to wrap it up.

But in all fairness, Frank Lampard does have one managerial victory over Guardiola from his first Chelsea spell, so stranger things have happened.

Man City last lost two league games on the trot in 2018, when Crystal Palace and Leicester beat them around Christmastime. It's highly unlikely there'll be title celebrations at the Grech Community Stadium.
