David Moyes saw fit to rotate his West Ham side for their midweek Europa League victory over Rapid Wien, although Michail Antonio and goalscorer Declan Rice retained their places.

Ryan Fredericks was absent for the Hammers in midweek after limping off against Man Utd last month, while doubts remain over Vladimir Coufal's availability after he was missing for the win.

With Brentford making their Premier League debut only this season, there hasn't been many meetings between these clubs in recent history.

In fact, the last time the pair met competitively was back in 1993 when West Ham coasted to a 4-0 victory in Division 1.

West Ham boast the upper hand in the historical head-to-head with 22 victories to 15 defeats, but history will matter for little when the Bees make the trip across London on Sunday.

West Ham vs Brentford score prediction

Brentford will bring a physical approach to the London Stadium, seeking to unsettle a West Ham side likely to be feeling the effects of their midweek Europa League exploits.

Spearheaded by Ivan Toney, Frank's side will carry an attacking threat, but West Ham have quality throughout their side thanks to David Moyes' impressive squad building. Antonio has been among the goals this term while an attacking cast of Jarrod Bowen, Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Nikola Vlasic will strike fear into the Bees.

Expect a cagey affair given both managers pride themselves on their defensive nous, with West Ham to edge it.

Prediction: West Ham 1-0 Brentford
