West Ham are expected to move for Chelsea striker Armando Broja in the coming days after confirming the signing of Nayef Aguerd on Monday, 90min understands.

Broja spent last season on loan at Southampton, and despite scoring only six goals in 32 Premier League appearances and nine in all competitions, was largely impressive down on the south coast.

Michail Antonio is currently West Ham's only recognised centre forward and it's clear that manager David Moyes wants to strengthen his options after a relatively small squad achieved a seventh place finish in the Premier League, in addition to reaching the semi-finals of the Europa League.

90min understands that Broja is one of Moyes's many targets and it's believed Chelsea, who have recently undergone a change in ownership, will allow the Albanian to leave if the price is right - even though manager Thomas Tuchel may be a little short of options once Romelu Lukaku heads out of the Stamford Bridge exit door to rejoin Inter on loan.

Broja could command a fee in excess of £30m, despite playing just a single season of top flight English football, but West Ham have shown they have money to spend in the summer window, after bagging left-sided central defender Aguerd from Rennes for a similar figure.

The 26-year-old's arrival was confirmed on Monday, with the Moroccan penning a five-year contract at London Stadium.

As for Broja, he is commanding interest from a number of other Premier League clubs, so West Ham may need to move quickly if they are to strike a deal without complication.

90min understands that Everton, Wolves and Leeds are among those keen on 20-year-old Broja, though the Hammers do hold an advantage over the trio by being able to offer Europa Conference League football.
