West Ham head to Southampton for their fourth game of the Premier League season looking to maintain their unbeaten start.

After powering past both Newcastle and Leicester, David Moyes' Hammers had a bit of a reality check against Crystal Palace last time out, conceding two poor goals from a defensive standpoint to pick up just a point.

But any worries in defence are soon forgotten about when you watch West Ham pile forward. The Hammers have been electrifying, continuing to put in the kind of dazzling displays that earned them a surprise top-six finish during 2020/21.

The pressure is on to deliver against Southampton side they have beaten six times out of their last seven meetings, and here's the team that could be tasked with getting the job done.

West Ham predicted lineup vs Southampton - Premier League

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Craig Dawson

Alphonse Areola (GK) - The Frenchman was Fulham's Player of the Year despite their relegation last season, and may be given his first chance to start ahead of Lukasz Fabianski in a West Ham shirt.

Vladimir Coufal (RB) - May have weary legs after being away with the Czech Republic but Coufal has an engine like no other.

Kurt Zouma (CB) - Zouma hasn't had a great amount of time to train with his new teammates but his quality is undeniable. Craig Dawson, meanwhile, wasn't at his best against Palace and may lose his place as a result.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB) - So dependable and calming in defence, Ogbonna's leadership qualities are evident every time he steps onto the field.

Aaron Cresswell (LB) - Delivers superbly at set pieces and seems to be improving defensively in a back four.

2. Midfielders

Declan Rice (CM) - West Ham's best player is rarely out of the headlines and rarely out on the side. The captain will start.

Tomas Soucek (CM) - Scored 10 Premier League goals in his first full season at West Ham and you wouldn't bet against him coming close to that total again.

Pablo Fornals (AM) - Was rewarded for his superb recent form with a recall to the Spain squad. A relentless presser who is now showing his quality in the final third regularly.

3. Forwards

Jarrod Bowen (RW) - Offers so much to this West Ham side with his darting runs in behind. Tracks back well to double up with Coufal when required.

Michail Antonio (ST) - New signing Nikola Vlasic said in his first interview with the club that Antonio is among the Premier League's top three strikers. On current form, he's number one.

Said Benrahma (LW) - After a difficult first season at in claret and blue, Benrahma is showing everybody what the fuss was all about. Just needs to add consistency to his game.
