The West Ham Lineup That Should Start Against Fulham

West Ham are back at the London Stadium to face Fulham on Saturday, favourites to win a game for the first time in seven Premier League outings.

David Moyes' side have faced Arsenal Leicester, Wolves, Tottenham, Manchester City and Liverpool in their last six games, a run of fixtures that no team in the Premier League would relish.

The Hammers have taken eight points from those games, and have looked very impressive after employing three central defenders and two marauding wing-backs. They are missing Michail Antonio for this particular game, but should have enough about them to pick up all three points.

Here's 90min's team selection for the game.

1. Goalkeeper & Defenders

Lukasz Fabianski (GK) - The Polish goalkeeper is as reliable as they come in goal, and fortunately hasn't had to be at his absolute best during a nightmare run of fixtures. Another evening of light duties ahead, possibly.

Fabian Balbuena (CB) - Known as 'The General' to those of a Paraguayan persuasion, there's no doubting that Fab knows how to organise a back line. He's a good tackler, but let's hope he doesn't need to get into a foot race.

Angelo Ogbonna (CB) - Never mind young up and comer Issa Diop, West Ham's defence would be nothing without Ogbonna. Never puts in a bad performance.

Aaron Cresswell (CB) - Is it possible that somebody is who approximately 4'3 is better in central defence than he is out wide? Defensively, yes, yes it is.

2. Wing-Backs & Midfielders

Vladimir Coufal (RWB) - West Ham's 'summer' transfer window was anything but inspiring, but they may have got an absolute bargain with Coufal. Seems to be able to run all day long.

Declan Rice (CM) - Getting better and better with each passing game, Rice is the key cog that keeps things ticking over in the middle.

Tomas Soucek (CM) - Marouane Fellaini 2.0 was a real threat in the air at the back end of last season, but hasn't come out firing in the goal department this time around. Good job he's playing Fulham then.

Arthur Masuaku (LWB) - One of those players that stops your heart in defence, but soon gets the blood pumping when he's away from West Ham's goal. Remarkable improved in Moyes' new system.

3. Forwards

Jarrod Bowen (RF) - Works so hard for the team, sacrificing his natural goalscoring instincts.

Sebastien Haller (ST) - Really needs to perform in these kind of games if he's to ever convince Moyes - and the West Ham faithful - that he can cut it at Premier League level. Maybe his international call-up for Ivory Coast will inspire him.

Pablo Fornals (LF) - West Ham bought in Said Benrahma on deadline day, but he hasn't got a hope in hell of playing if Fornals keeps up his impressive form. Nominated for October's Premier League player of the month award, and rightly so.
