The United States men’s national team will kick off their 2022 Concacaf Nations League campaign against Grenada at Q2 Stadium in Austin, Texas on June 10.

"The facilities in Austin are simply world class," USMNT head coach Gregg Berhalter said.

"We have had incredible experiences there in the Gold Cup and World Cup Qualifying, and we think it's the perfect venue to begin the defense of our Nations League title."

The USMNT drew in the tournament’s Group D against Grenada and El Salvador, who will host the American side on June 14 in San Salvador.

They enter the Nations League as defending champions for the first time ever after defeating Mexico 3-2 in the final to lift the trophy. The rival nations headed into overtime level at 2-2 before a penalty from star forward Christian Pulisic won it all for the Americans.

The Concacaf tournament will serve as preparations for the World Cup for the US, forming part of their six planned matches before heading to Qatar. The team is also set to play a June 1 friendly against Morocco in Cincinnati, and a second exhibition match on June 5 with an undetermined nation.

Two more games are planned for September 23 and 27.
