The United States men’s national team triumphed 4-0 over Ghana on Tuesday night at Geodis Park, as goals from Gio Reyna, Folarin Balogun and Christian Pulisic set off the crowd in Nashville.

The American side dominated throughout the match, building off the first goal in the 10th minute to secure the 4-0 lead before the halftime whistle. Reyna paved the way, scoring the team’s first after finding a rebound inside the 18-yard box and rocketing the ball into the net.

Pulisic soon followed with his own strike, burying a penalty in the 19th minute to double the score. Balogun then made it 3-0 with a left-footed strike into the upper left corner, before the Dortmund player topped the game off with a shocking free kick from within the box.

"First half was amazing, I think everyone was going. When you have someone like Gio back and learning, I mean, his quality is amazing, he brings so much to the team. Everything just came together today," said Timothy Weah to TNT.

"Gio got two goals [and] besides the goals, it was how he brings players into the attack, how he is able to be calm on the ball, gives us that calm and the poise that we need at times, but then is decisive when making final passes," added head coach Gregg Berhalter.

"This performance was just an indicator of his entire camp. He had, as I said before, a very strong camp, great mindset, great training sessions."

The USMNT concluded the October window with the 3-1 loss to Germany and 4-0 win against Ghana in preparation for the Concacaf Nations League quarter finals next month. The American side will face Trinidad and Tobago on November 16 and November 20 for a ticket to the 2024 Copa America.

The USMNT is set to host the first leg at Austin FC’s Q2 Stadium, before traveling overseas.
