Twitter reacts as Sheriff pull off all-time great Champions League upset vs Real Madrid

Be honest, had you even heard of Sheriff before this year's Champions League draw? Probably not.
Well, you've definitely heard of them of now, after the minnows pulled of one of European football's greatest upsets by defeating Real Madrid in their own back yard.

It is hard to put into words just how bonkers this result actually is.
Real didn't even rest players for this one. Karim Benzema, Vinicius Junior, Eden Hazard, David Alaba... the list goes on. All of them started from the outset and yet they still did not have enough to get the job done.
If only the Super League had gone ahead, eh? They would have been spared this embarrassment...
Real Madrid have now lost 61 CL games, Sheriff have won every CL game they've ever played, and you're claiming this is a shock? Poor.

There is objectively nothing funnier in football than Real Madrid losing at home to a team they don't think they should ever *ever* have to play against.

Sheriff defeating Real Madrid is just another reason why the Super League was always a horrendous idea, you’d never be able to see beautiful things like this.

There were three main heroes for Sheriff. Of course, both goalscorers - Djasur Yakhshibaev and Sebastien Thill - deserve huge credit.
Cristiano - not that one - the Sheriff left-back was terrific again also, after seriously impressing on Matchday 1.
However, the real star of the show was goalkeeper Georgios Athanasiadis, who made a remarkable 10 saves throughout the contest. It was an inspired performance that may just earn him a move to a bigger club in the future.
This Sheriff goalkeeper is something else.#Rmvssheriff

For all of the credit Sheriff deserve, Real did not help themselves and several players were in the firing line at full time.
Carlo Ancelotti was not exempt from criticism either, as this was Los Blancos second unconvincing Champions League display of the season.
FC Sheriff Tiraspol, a team from the breakaway Moldovan region of Transnistria, is in the lead at half-time against Real Madrid at their own Santiago Bernabeu. FC Sheriff's total budget: about 420k euro, less than Real's star player Eden Hazard's weekly wage. pic.twitter.com/vmj2fa6zyT

Real Madrid / Sheriff : I love Alaba but honestly, the first goal reminded me of how big of a liability he can be when it comes to Aerial duels. Man even marked the wrong player. The 2nd one, there's little he could do but as a CB you need to be more aggressive
This is how Real Madrid ended the game tonight:

Valverde Modrić Kroos Camavinga
Rodrygo Benzema Vinicius
Jovic
