Twitter reacts as Dinamo Zagreb stun Tottenham in the Europa League
By Ross Jackson

When you appoint Jose Mourinho as your manager, you know you're not going to be treated to stellar, free-flowing football which leaves you desperate to watch your team again as soon as the final whistle has been blown.
However, what you are going to be treated to is a team that knows how to drag itself over the line in matches and always manages to find a way of reaching the latter stages of competitions.
Yeahhhh, about that last bit...
Our Europa League campaign comes to an end.

Tottenham headed to Zagreb for the second leg of their Europa League last 16 tie on Thursday evening, with Mourinho's men boasting a 2-0 lead from the first leg at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium last week.
No English side had failed to progress to the next round in a European knockout tie having held a two-goal lead from the first leg since Manchester City managed it back in 2017, but good old Spurs went and bottled it...

A pretty embarrassing defeat for a side who just two years ago made it all the way to the Champions League final, right? Oh well, every team gets beat once in a while, at least the defeat can't be made any more humiliating...what's that? THEIR MANAGER WAS IN PRISON?!
Spurs have been knocked out of the #UEL by a Dinamo Zagreb side whose manager is in jail! ? pic.twitter.com/1bUwUoX5cm

'Dinamo Zagreb's manager was sentenced to four years in jail just days before the game, but the real frauds were wearing yellow in Croatia on Thursday night as...'

Bottling a 2-0 lead to a team whose manager went to jail in between the two legs. It can only be Tottenham Hotspur.

Their manager is going to prison for fraud, maybe they should get him to swap place with Mourinho ?????????????????

With Spurs destined for another season without a trophy (because let's be honest, they're going to bottle the Carabao Cup final if that performance was anything to go by) the attention of just about everyone on social media turned to Mourinho.
The man brought into the club to provide a 'win at all costs' mentality just doesn't seem to be capable of helping Spurs overcome their trophy hoodoo.
So, do we give him a bit more time and hope his class can begin to show? Hahaha don't be silly, this is social media, we run after him with our pitchforks and burning sticks in the air.
Tottenham weren’t facing competition from any other major European club - Lyon liked him but that’s about it - and yet, still, he signed a deal which represented a personal no-lose situation. It’s incredible.

A reminder that Mourinho has been allowed to spend £92 million (net) whilst at Spurs - a total that is just £8 million short of what Pochettino spent in 5 seasons at the club.

Spurs changed their whole philosophy & spending habits for him and he’s taken them backwards.

Mourinho has had the best Harry Kane ever, prime Heung-min Son, a Gareth Bale homecoming and Ledley King on the coaching staff.

Do you realise how difficult it is to make things this miserable with all of that?
