As someone who doesn't believe in suitable measurements of 'clutch' in football, Cristiano Ronaldo is going a long way this Champions League campaign to try and prove me otherwise.

After scoring late comeback winners against Villarreal and Atalanta already this season, the Portugal forward was up to his old tricks to secure Manchester United a precious point away in Bergamo on Tuesday night.

It looked destined to be another game that just wouldn't go Man Utd's way. They fell behind to a goal from Josip Ilicic - whose pea-roller was spilled in by David de Gea.

But Ronaldo was on hand to drag his side back into the game, finishing off a neat free-flowing move to equalise on the stroke of half-time.

While Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes were impressive, the midfield duo of Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba were anything but, constantly losing the ball and failing to help United progress the ball.

And before you knew it, United were behind again. Duvan Zapata ran onto a ball over the top after being played onside by Harry Maguire, while De Gea remained rooted to his line and failed to narrow the angle.

Solskjaer really meant business by throwing Jadon Sancho and Donny van de Beek (!!!) on in search of a late equaliser.

But obviously there was only one man for the occasion...

And so Ole Gunnar Solskjaer lives to fight another day. Again.
