The United States men's national team drew 0-0 against England, earning a point to sit in third place of the Group B standings. Iran's early victory against Wales left the United States with pressure to earn a positive result against England. The tie is less than optimal for the American side, forcing a must-win in their last group stage match on Tuesday.

Like with Wales, the USMNT started off strong. Weston McKennie saw his first chance at goal in the 25th minute, failing to find the back of the net after connecting with Tim Weah.

Christian Pulisic then followed up with an opportunity of his own, rocketing the ball into the crossbar.

England closed the first half with a chance at goal, as Mason Mount tried Matt Turner.

Still, 0-0 at halftime.

Gregg Berhalter finally subbed Gio Reyna into a World Cup match, giving the player 10 minutes to make a difference.

The second half saw offensive runs on both ends, but in the end one point for England and the United States.
