Twitter Reacts as Borussia Dortmund Scrape Past Hertha Berlin to Close Gap to Seven Points

Borussia Dortmund earned a narrow yet unconvincing win at the Signal Iduna Park, as they beat Hertha Berlin 1-0 on Saturday afternoon.
Dortmund were looking to close the gap at the top to seven points, as the Bundesliga title race reaches its conclusion. Hertha, on the other hand, sat just five points off the European spots at the start of play, after a fantastic run of form in recent weeks.
Both teams came together in solidarity of the Black Lives Matter movement before kickoff. Dortmund players wore shirts with powerful messages in the warmup, before everyone kneeled together around the centre circle before kickoff.

Only together can we kick racism not just out of football, but the world.

It didn't prove to be the most gripping first half, with little to no chances for either side. Dortmund couldn't find that cutting edge to convert in the final third, while Hertha barely laid a finger on their hosts throughout the entirety of the opening 45 minutes.
Finally, Borussia Dortmund made a breakthrough with one good passage of play. Jadon Sancho chipped it through to Julian Brandt, who headed it into the path of Emre Can for the German to stroke the ball into the back of the net.

Emre Can combines with Jadon Sancho and Julian Brandt before a quality finish into the bottom corner ?

Lucien Favre's side are now seven points off Bayern Munich, with four more games to play. Bayern need just two more wins to secure the Bundesliga title, while Dortmund need to win all their remaining games and hope for a miraculous slip-up from the runaway champions.
Dortmund make the trip to Düsseldorf next Saturday, where they face a Fortuna Düsseldorf side fighting to survive in the top flight. Hertha Berlin are back at the Olympiastadion the same day, when they welcome Adi Hütter's Eintracht Frankfurt to the German capital.
