Trent Alexander-Arnold has seen off stiff competition from Reece James and Kyle Walker to be crowned the best English right-back on the planet, in 90min's latest Welcome to World Class fan vote.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed another terrific year in 2021, helping his club secure an unlikely fourth-place finish last season after a raft of injury problems, before making a lightning start to this current season.
We pitted him against two worthy adversaries, James and Walker, in a bid to find the very best right-back in England and he romped to victory in 90min's Twitter poll.
Alexander-Arnold easily secured top spot, winning 54.9% of the vote. James was his closest challenger, earning 33.3% of voters' affections, while Walker was a distant third at 11.7%.
What likely attracted so many voters to the Reds star was his terrific stats in the Premier League this season. Alexander-Arnold already has eight assists this campaign, as well as a further three in Europe.
He's also scored twice this term, most recently netting a contender for goal of the season during his the, in the end, comfortable 3-1 win over Newcastle United.
Although he may not have won the poll this time, James has been equally mesmerising this term. 2021 has been a real breakout year for the 22-year-old and he has four goals and five assists to his name in the Premier League this season.
His display in the 2021 Champions League final deserves a mention too, a game in which he left Raheem Sterling and his accomplices feeding off scraps.
Spare a thought for the bronze medal winning Walker too. His offensive stats may not be as flashy as his younger counterparts but his incredible recovery pace and well-rounded game make him a nightmare for opposition wideman.
No matter which player you voted for, the right side of England's defence is in a very healthy state indeed.
