Tottenham and West Ham will play their final game before Christmas when they clash in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

Spurs featured for the first time in two weeks on Sunday, managing a 2-2 draw with Liverpool having had to deal with a Covid-19 outbreak in their camp during their time away from the playing field.

West Ham were one of the sides to have their game at the weekend called off due to positive coronavirus test results, with their last match being a 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.

Both sides will have designs on winning the League Cup this season, with holders Manchester City knocked out earlier this year.

Tottenham team news

Spurs fielded a different midfield to what fans have become accustomed to on Sunday, with Harry Winks, Dele Alli and Tanguy Ndombele operating in central areas in the absence of Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.

Skipp did appear off the bench against Liverpool and could come into the starting lineup here, while there could be rotation in defence with the centre backs and wing backs.

West Ham team news

The Hammers have a number of injury issues to contend with in defence. Ben Johnson, Ryan Fredericks, Kurt Zouma, Angelo Ogbonna and Aaron Cresswell are all out, while Vladimir Coufal is suspended.

There could be some rotation in midfield, with Mark Noble potentially set for a role in the centre of the park.

Tottenham vs West Ham score prediction

Tottenham played well in their draw with Liverpool and arguably should have won the game, though there were plenty of contentious decisions which could have affected the match regardless of their chances.

West Ham are winless in their last three games. They have a good recent recent record against Spurs but this fixture might be one they come up short in given their absentees in defence.

Prediction: Tottenham 2-1 West Ham
