Harry Kane has been included in Tottenham's squad to face Pacos de Ferreira in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.

The striker was left out of the squad to face Manchester City on Sunday, with manager Nuno Espirito Santo insisting he was simply not fit enough to go up against the team looking to sign him for £130m this summer.

Nuno urged Kane to keep working to get to the level needed to help the team, and it seems that could be soon as he was named in Spurs' 25-man squad for Thursday's game which was submitted to UEFA.

Kane is the only out-and-out striker in the squad, although Nuno does also have Son Heung-min, who started up top and scored the winner in Sunday's 1-0 win over City.

As noted by The Athletic, Kane had not even returned to full team training before Sunday's game but is expected to step up his involvement over the coming days, with an appearance in Thursday's game his target.

Kane's spot in the squad comes at the expense of midfielder Tanguy Ndombele and right-back Serge Aurier, both of whom have been left at home for the play-off tie, which will decide which team goes through to the group stage of the Europa Conference League.

Even if Kane doesn't make it to the pitch, the spotlight will remain on him. The striker remains keen to leave the club and join City, who are readying a bid of close to £130m to sign him, but sources have confirmed to 90min that Spurs are not interested in doing business.

Chairman Daniel Levy's stance has always been clear. He does not want to sell Kane to another English side and would demand a fee of at least £150m to even consider sending him overseas.

With two weeks remaining in the transfer window, Spurs' reluctance to sell Kane is expected to grow. Levy does not want negotiations to drag on late in the window and instead wants City to take the hint now.
