Tottenham 3-0 Pacos de Ferreira: Player ratings as Spurs reach Europa Conference League group stage

From Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Harry Kane captained Tottenham as they beat Pacos de Ferreira to reach the Europa Conference League group stage, scoring a brace in a 3-0 win.

Spurs trailed 1-0 on aggregate after a dismal defeat in Portugal last week, but responded perfectly back on home soil to book their place in Friday's draw.

Kane should have put Spurs ahead just 20 seconds in, but scooped his one-on-one effort over the Pacos goal. He didn't have to wait much longer though, as he controlled Bryan Gil's low cross to convert nine minutes later.

Ryan Sessegnon missed a couple of chances to tap-in at the back post and Gil struck the woodwork as Spurs went in search of a second.

Kane eventually found the net again after some neat work from Giovani Lo Celso to keep the ball out of goalkeeper Andre Ferreira's hands, with the England captain cooly converting from close range.

Lo Celso nearly added a third just after the hour mark, as did Gil, and the Argentine midfielder later had a free-kick deflected in to put the game beyond doubt.

Substitutes Steven Bergwijn and Son Heung-min both came close to getting on the scoresheet, but Spurs had to settle for just the three goals.

1. Goalkeeper & defenders

Pierluigi Gollini (GK) - 5/10 - Couple of hairy moments with the ball at his feet in the first half but a rather quiet night in general.

Cristian Romero (CB) - 7/10 - Tottenham fans will be relieved to find out that Romero can play a decent ball forwards and is comfortable in the opposition half.

Eric Dier (CB) - 6/10 - Played the part of Spurs' most senior centre-back well without ever proving spectacular.

Ben Davies (CB) - 6/10 - Played much of the game as a left-back when Spurs were in possession. Standard Ben Davies performance.

2. Midfielders & wing-backs

Matt Doherty (RWB) - 6/10 - Roamed forward but didn't look hugely confident with the ball at his feet.

Harry Winks (CM) - 7/10 - Terrific work to win the ball back and set Gil away for the goal. A Winks performance of old.

Giovani Lo Celso (CM) - 7/10 - Erratic and lively - some would say unhinged - but his energy was vital.

Ryan Sessegnon (LWB) - 7/10 - A real menace down Pacos' right and unfortunate not to have grabbed a goal himself. Given a standing ovation when substituted.

3. Forwards

Lucas Moura (RW) - 7/10 - Always guaranteed to play well in these kinds of games. The Europa Conference League will be his playground.

Harry Kane (CF) - 9/10 - A brace and a raucous reception on his return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Decent night all round.

Bryan Gil (LW) - 7/10 - Frequently looking for the ball, whether to feet or in behind. Looked as if he had been playing with Kane for years.
